A Von Fischer

by A Von Fischer on 22 October 2009 - 07:10

 Hey, Phil Behun,

Dirk's SchH lll scores were 97, 87,90  not bad for a V rated showline, huh?

glad you took the time to put your two cents in.....

Phil,, 76lbs is not over weight for a german shepherd that is 63.5 cm.

There is no structure problems with his gate... I was not there when the video was filmed. that looks more like a strain, or an injury to his pad. I will get another video up shortly.

The word   HItch  means just what  Phil noticed.........a jerking motion..or a delay starting motion....or like an obstacle making movement pulling motion or of an impaired motion...seems that is what was noticed by others.....Preston is in the showline world and has been in the ring many times...
His use of the word   "Hitch"  seems to be most correct...

Look up the many meanings of   "hitch."

With the grips that I saw on that video, which is all I have to go by, there is no way that dog should have been given 90 pts. in a SchHIII protection routine.  He broke down before both grips even to the point of heading towards the judge on the long bite and without helper attraction, which at that point is what the helper should do. he probably would have popped him.  Both grips on the video were absolutely, positively terrible.  That is where I disagree with Preston whereas he thought they were fine, I think they are barely sufficient and should have been noted that way.   His guarding is less than impressive, no intensity lots of looking around, while the BAD GUY IS STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM !!!!!!  As far as the overweight thing goes, again, all I have to go by is the video and from the view behind him while sitting in his boring guard, HE LOOKS FAT.  No waistline for a working dog, no good.

Phil... I added the URL for the videos, look at his bite. For his guard, I clearly demonstrate that if the decoy "bad guy" moves a muscle Dirk will continue with a bite. If you are concerned about his barking, you should see his blind work, he will bark up a storm and show aggression until the handler gets there.. Remember Phil, he got a 90 for a reason, not a 100. Please look at the video I put up.. For the weight, Dirk is not a short haired German Shepherd. He has show line plus working qualities. Its clear you are very anti show line and pure shutzhund. Its hard sometimes to see a show line dog excel in shutzhund trials.  You have nothing credible left to say. Move on to the next SchH lll Kkl1a to pick on........

A Von Fisher.

Lets put it this way: You put up a video all upset that somebody commented on your dog's running gate.. well sorry there is a some kind of weird "limp", "hitch" or whatever you want to call it!!.

Instead of looking at the video and not posting it on public site where people can make comments, or make it available.. you get all upset.
Somebody else agrees with the same "hitch" statement and adds couple of comments about the dog's bite work.
Phil Behun suggested that maybe, just maybe you should take the video down because it is not a good video.

Take it for what is worth and move on.. people who want to breed to your dog will do that despide of any comments.

Good luck and just let it go without insulting people because they are not impressed with the video. Be a big man!
