Easily impressed.  Escape grip was short and a re-grip on the out command.  That means the rest of the performance was perfect.  Not so much.  Slight wrinkle in the blind as the handler approaches, anticipates the call back, forging on the back transport and a couple of chews on the out.  Pursuit on the long bite was fast and direct however the high catch had to be on the helper, very dangerous.  Elbow was way too high on the catch causing the flier.  Dramatic for the onlookers,,,,,,not so good for the dog.  1/2 pt. for the slight look in the blind, 1/2 pt. for the flinch before the callback we didn't see, 1 pt. for the shorty on the escape, 1 pt. for the re-grip, 1 pt. for the forging and at least 1 pt. for the 2 chews on the back transport, 95 pts.  That is, provided the blind search, side transports and all secondary work were perfect.

Except he isn't a show line dog,
Sue, I said he was a show working mix, which he is . Yeah, more working, but last I checked , these dogs WERE Showline, at least that's what my pedigrees tell me.
SchH3/FH

SchH1
V Diana von der Malvenburg

And a couple of others, my only point was, you can ADD a little one way or the other, sort of what my plan was, but in the opposite. I like the show lines, my sister likes the working lines,She stuck closer on the DDR lines, I went with the Rikkor!

Wasn't looking for an argument, just found the pedigree interesting. That's all! That is what I'm doing here, learning dogs and their pedigrees

KitKat you and I will have to agree to disagree.  One showline dog 6 generations back is not proof of anything to me.  It is to you, which is fine - different strokes.   Falk von den Wolfen has Irk Weinerau in him and Asko v Lutter has Canto, but I would STILL consider Falk and Asko to be working line dogs.  I guess it all depends on how far back you want to go, from what I have read the split didn't start until the 1970s.

Yeah, many good dogs have a bit of showlines from the 80s some generations back, I would consider these workingdogs if work have been the focus for many generations after that. But I guess some people would argue the little showblood far back have contributed to the workingquality of the dog today;)
