Those wanting to help but can't travel may want to contribute to her rescue program since she most likely won't be able to hunt this season.  She hunts to fill her freezer with wild game (elk, deer etc) to feed the dogs all winter.  Any contribution will be appreciated.

If you wish to help, Montana German Shepherd Rescue has set up a way to donate. Please go to
www.montanagsdrescue.org

Or Send a check to

Montand GSD Rescue
PO Box 1895
Hamilton, MT 59840

Thank you, Deb

p.s.
Steph @ Montana GSD Rescue has placed over 100 German Shepherds in loving forever homes - Way to go Steph!

She is still taking donations to help Shelley too.
Click on the donate button. Put "Shelley" in the information line with Pay Pals.

Or if you mail a check for Shelley be sure to note % Shelley Strohl.

Either way Steph will make sure Shelley gets the money donated for her cause.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, AND THE BIG TYPE, Good thing I can type fairly well...lol...

I won't know for 6 months or so if I will ever regain sight in the right eye. but in Montana I can legally drive, just have to relearn how to judge distance and no night driving. I am a survivor so I will adapt...Just may take some time, as it is the doctor doesn't want me driving for at least a few months. So all the dogs have be delivered to me if I can take them in.

My brother is doing a wonderful job with all the dogs, they all love him and his walks and hikes with them.
I will try to keep you updated, but I do tire easily with straining with one eye. and the memory is not quite the best yet...so sorry if I forget someone...

I will have to send a photo of the one eye bandit soon, everyone says the eye patch is cool!!! But I want a camo one!!!
Catch ya'all later,
Thanks again for the prayers, they are helping.
Steph

Steph, I'm so sorry for what happened!  Those horses are unpredictable  beggers.

I have missed you on here, and I'm glad you are up and about.

Prayers going out that your eye heals to better than new.
Hugs.

I wish you a complete and speedy recovery! I was shocked to hear of this accident and your bravery is an inspiration. I'm praying for you, too.

I will see if my son will make a camoflague eyepatch for you from one of his leftover eyepatches, (he had a bout of Bells palsy from Lyme disease this past summer, but is now completely recovered), and will send it to you with a gift for your rescue organization. He wore a pirate bandana with his, so if you have a favorite color, I'll see what I can do.

Bless your brother for being there for you and your 4 legged charges.

Steph, my Mother was hit by a drunk driver over 20 years ago. she received a brain injury along with some other majors, it moved with the impact. They do not know alot about brain injuries, and would not have know had I not kept witching she was not right. they did not know her, I did and she was not right.
My husband recently retired, and he has gotten into brain excerises for memory, taking clases. Amazing. Here is a link to what they have suggested he do to stay sharp.

I am so sorry for your troubles, we are such a small community in compairable terms, and yet we have so many in need right now.
