I lost my bitch last fall, when she went off chasing deer. The last anyone saw of her, she was playing chicken with cars on the highway, on a Friday night (lots of cottage owners heading north for the weekend!)

I'll never forget what a relief it was to get her safely home the next morning. She was wet, bedraggled, shivering and exhausted, but unhurt. She went upstairs to her crate (her safe place) and didn't come out until mid-afternoon!

SO glad you got your boy back!

And, it just goes to show you, DO NOT TRUST THE DOG'S DESCRIPTION, as given by other people!

Someone who saw my bitch when she was on the loose described her as a puppy, and thought she was male!
At least they got the breed right!

the man who said he didn't shoot him said he was already hurt when he saw him and wanted to help him....

earlier you mentioned that he left a bunch of hair on your fence, could he have hurt him self when he jumped your fence?

he must have been cold, tired, wet, exhausted........glad a good person stopped to help -

there are still some good people in this world. I like thinking that, and it's true!

Thats what i think, keizer is not a jumper and the cut is, under his flank, on the right side,  when he was going for the ground he probly got hung up on the fence. hopefully that taught him a lesson.

For some reason, I had a feeling you'd find him!  I'm so glad he's home and safe, probably not nearly as glad as you though!  Congrats.  I think we all own a piece of him now, he became part of us all while as his drama unfolded.  What happy news...HAPPY DANCE
