Kaffirdog

While she looks very Eastern European in type and markings, this is also the look of English Alsatians in the 1960's so she could easily be from old English lines, the pale facial markings are very similar to dogs from the Kentwood Kennels and some of the Druidswood kennel had the same type and markings as did some dogs from the Heelaway kennel..

Where did you get her?  Might give a clue to the most likely background.

Margaret - I was hoping you might reply, so thanks for that. She is a failed police dog from a Scottish police force, before that a failed sch dog. I understand from the police they acquired her from the continent, but she does understand the german commands, so possibly Germany, although many people training sch train in german anyway regardless of where they are. I guess her coming from the continent rules out the old english lines, though I agree she does have some similarities, not least her straight back, and lighter colouring. Yellowrose - please excuse my ignorance, but what do the markings on the tops of her toes point to?
