Courtney, I understand all too well how you feel b/c I do own a Pit Bull mix that I happened to rescue from a kill shelter just before they were going to put him down. I know there are WAY tooo many Pit Bull and Pit Bull mixes out there and it is very difficult to find loving homes for all of them, but I think (don't know for sure) the vet is thinking of the female's life and well being before anything else. I think the morning pill will be much better, and then when she is mature get her spayed. If it were my dog I would do the morning pill first before anything else. Besides what happens if you put her thru the surgery and the mating didn't take, you could have just as well given her the pill to solve it all instead of putting her under the knife right away.

Hello Everyone!

My friend found a new vet today and really loves this one. The vet agreed to give the morning after pill today and then spay her within the next month, as the vet prefers the dog to be not in heat also. This vet agrees that the girl should be more mature than what she is right now. She is still small for her age and should be much bigger. The vet also did an exam and everything is great! I am very proud that my friend made the right choice that I hoped he would.
