I know the helper in the video, he is not new in the business and so isnt Fintan, they did a good job. But it does not change the fact the dog has his limits, actually a weak dog as far as I can tell from the video.

K9ulf: so the helper did what he did to "help" the dog not to fail?
This brings me to another thing:.. not to argue just to get it into my head.
I was raised around dogs this way: if the dog doesn't work get rid of it, find it another job and STOP tortuting yourself and the dog to do something that is not suited for (maybe that dog would be a great herder, who knows?)
WHY do people do this? I have seen dogs get theyr Schutz titles and I couldn't believe my own eyes that the judge actually even passed a dog.
I have failed a trial and I probably still will because I WAS THE REASON not the dog.
Why are people putting their dogs through something they are not suited for and call it fun? Fun for who? Would not be fun for me if I am on the field not knowing weather my dog is even going to bite the sleeve or is gonna take of off field in the middle of protection. (that I really witnessed and I did not know weather to cry or laugh. This dog has Schutz 2 now.. Excuse me? this dog schould be washed out not allowed to breed!!! this I do not get.. and people are fighting and excusing and ruining the show lines.
Maybe I am too sensitive but darn I have seen people breed dogs and call them outstanding where they do not even cover half of the drive of my dog....
Another thing is to actually looke into what is GSD about.. or lets call it Pretty shepherd dog  and German schepherd dog.. for the sake of the breed ( I wil not mention American lines because I will puke)
If that is the truth what you stated, I hope that the video was not a trial and I hope that the dog did not get a title... cause dogs like that are reason why showline is not very good (overall, not every line or dog).
So what do you think??

Oh Crap... that is sad, I guess I am just naive. And I gladly stay naive it it stands for integrity.

GSdPack, I just replied because someone said the helper might be inexperienced, i just clarified he is not.
I agree, weak dogs like this should not be allowed to breed from but I cant see any reason why Showline people should  not be supported to do SchH with their dogs as a sport, it will hopefully bring the two sides closer together for a greater understanding.
