Funky Munky, You are right about this is a showline that can work topic and it was inappropriate for me to interject the part about workingline conformation. The mother of the last dog I titled in Sch was a showline bitch out of USA VA Nanto v Dan Alhedy's Hoeve. Nanto was a Mark vom Haus Beck son. I showed this bitch under Judge Leonard Sweikert at 12 months and two days and she took SG-2 in a large class and she was youngest dog in class(12 to 18 month class). She had very nice temperament. I like the lines that descend back on Mutz v d Peltzierferm. I think Mark produced some nice working dogs and also Jeck v Noricum, though I am wary of hips with Jeck. Once again I apologize for hijacking the thread.

Oh! Liz won't mind a bit, it's not you she's having a go at, Gustav.  Jeck Noricum is one of my all time favs,  almost everything I like the look of today is line bred to him (I know...) the hips were a problem tho'.

I've had two large glasses of Chablis and I think it's gone straight to my head... lol.

Gustav, under no circimstances was i meaning you, you did not highjack this thread. I may not always agree with what you say, but i always read your posts, as they are based on first hand knowledge and experience. I would never have a problem with you as your posts are informative and intelligently put.  Missbeeb put the bottle away, you naughty girl!!!!  liz

I have to include my old deceased female in this group just because.
V Yska vd Bollermuhle SCH3 kkl1a lbz.

in my mind,  Yska was the perfect gsd.  She had insane toy drive,  did everything with a kong in her mouth,  including running the fence at cats and barking.  if she could eat and drink with the kong she would have.  She was completely trustworthy,  she would allow a 2yr old to take her kong from her mouth.

She rocked during protection work,  received several 100pt obed.  and protection scores.  She didn't care too much for tracking but she wasn't really worked that much in tracking.  this dog LOVED to train and work.  one time,  at 9 yrs old,  I took her out for a little training with the younger dogs.  I figured a couple bites was enough for the old girl so I tied her to a big picnic table to watch everyone else.  big mistake,  she barked and barked, and lunged until she was dragging the table towards the helper.

She was a big girl,  and not the prettiest,  but her character was outstanding.

they rarely make them like this anymore.

KCzaja and Uber Lland,

Thank You for your kind comments on my boy Yacco.  Yacco is one of the calm dogs that explodes in protection. Too bad awards were not given for protection at the 2007 NASS because I believe he was one of the best.  He is a great family member and very well mannered. See you at the USA SS 09. You can view Yacco's breed survey here: http://www.vondersymmes.com/Males.htm

All dogs should work like Andrushka. Glad he's staying in the US.
Ronaldo is a very fine working dog with full, hard grips, serious aggression, but still a joy to be around and work.
Kevin Murrtal progeny is consistently good in the work.
Liked Liedo in KY. Hoss in St. Louis.
There are a few more of course, but I don't feel good today (again) so my brain is only working on a couple of cylindars. If I left your dog out this time please forgive me. I probably mentioned him on another thread somewhere along the line.

Back to bed...
SS
