Badsgsd.

Not not bad comapred to dogs that have no drives at all! Or to the dogs that hardly have any muscle or substance. Plus the issues in WL are nothing major, only minor! The crippling faults in  showlines are faaaaar worse and need immediate attention! Overall, one cannot even compare a showline to a working lines. Although some can work, most cannot, even if their lives depended on it! Now that is king of all faults! Fix that and maybe you can defend these worthless roaced back, over angulated, sickled hocked critters!

And as for my previous posts, i would never remove them! Never! I meant every word of what i said to funky and misbeeb, However that is an entirely different subject that isnt worth discussing over here. PM's anyone?

"How can a V rated workingline dog be ugly? V = excellent structure by the standard....I don't care what people personal opinion of beauty is cause that's like opinions and .....! The beauty of the dog is in his work, says the founder, but show people can't accept that so let's say that the beauty of the dog is his correctness to the Standard. Well there are many many many V rated workinglines, so its only ignorance when you hear comments that project workinglines as ugly. Also, their are many many showlines that are SG and G in confromation....does that make them ugly???"

*Bows*

You the man Gustav! Exactly just like I said earlier, thats ignorance! Truth hurts!

 Good to be back!!

I just had a litter of nine pups in december (6 femaies and 3 males) so I've been taking care of them..Now they're 8 weeks old and 3 are remaining home for the moment.  Hesitating between two males..As you all know this is a crucial periode so we've been socializing, meeting new people and places, playing in the snow and facing this horrible cold!!

This is a very exciting litter out of GV.Mar Haven's and the Beat Goes On. Out of nine maybe 2 we're not show quality..And they're something a like a lot about this litter..Their temperament..very stable and a lot of prey drive ( I know some of you won't beleive this LOL).  Here's a link to my little ones:

http://web.mac.com/july9000/Kana_Haus/Chiots_Berger_Allemand_.html

They are very funny pups..we're already climbing up and down the stairs at 7 weeks and are house trained.they are fast learners..They're a pleasure to raise.

So now I will be here more often..defending all types of GSD (of course..more am. lines since it is what I breed).  Sorry for the ones who hates those show lines...I'm BackLOL

There are many excellent worklines in conformation these dogs i find very beautiful, but there are many on both sides that are not very pretty looking, this thread is about showlines that can work not another battle about which is the best!!!!! And immature comments like "cripples" "frog like" are not called for. Having come from many generations of farmers, who have only used GSD's to WORK the livestock i know they can work tirelessly. I only wish my father was alive to come on here and discuss just how well his dogs worked, i have asked my husband repeatedly, please just once come on here and explain how a good sheepdog is bred, selected, and trained, to work on his own, NO HANDLER. I am the show dog lover in our family, but i wasn't long in converting my husband, and many of my dogs he used for his interst WORKING LIVESTOCK on a working farm. My sons now have the reins to the farm and continue to use GSD's, in a smaller capacity, so can a show line work, all day, every day, YES THEY CAN!!!!!  LIZ

I agree July9000, a lot of hard work, puppies, but also a great time, i love it!!!!! Good luck in picking the "right one", 9 times out of ten i sold it,lol!!!!! I do not care which "type" one prefers, that's a personal choice, but i do care when my preferred type is slated by the ignorant and novice.  Each to there own i say!!!!  Welcome back and look forward to reading your imput. liz
