I have never trained in sch so i couldn't comment about that. I have females that have been trained as explosive dogs and narcotic dogs that are working for Police Services right now.. and yes they are spayed but work awesomely.

No, I am not talking about the lack of being able to breed with a female that is working in SchH
It is simply because i have never heard of a spayed female working in SchH over here, that does not mean there are none, only i have not come across one

As regards Horses and being a Gelding,
Yes, i have rode dozens of race horse Steeplechasers in my time over a Jump race course, Spreads ditches etc at some kind of speed, and i have never taken an entire horse over them always they are Geldings
Got no photos of me riding them now did have, but  the only one i have is me in Hunting gear on the horse, a grey mare many moons ago

I prefer having them spayed then you have no cycling issues. not only that there are enough dogs being bred each and every month already that will need homes. I do not need to feed into that so I have my dogs fixed.. Just my preferance I guess

I can't give you my own opinion on the subject of spayed females since I don't believe in fixing nature, but from what I heard from other people, if the female is spayed after full maturity around 2.5 - 3 years it will not effect her working ability, but done before can lead to lower drive (not always depends on a female).

Your very very right. none of my females are spayed until after they have at least 3 cycles.. spaying at a young age dwarfs growth and maturity of the dogs.. Mind you I can't stand the cycles as it attracts to many unwanted males but with proper timing you have no accidents ever!

"When Heidi does mature and come into season it will be very hard for any dog to get into the premises, with a gate over 7ft high and a complete border of thick hedge 8ft high and behind that chain link fencing, Is pretty secure
As for Goran the two pens have a metal section between the dogs pens, plus another movable one which can be adjusted so there is 2ft apart from each dog, but only will be in use when she comes into season,i think i have got it right before the Pup came here from the breeder
