Hukka they are misrepresenting these dogs. The problem with this is many people do not know about these dogs the read this information posted and seek to find breeders with these bloodlines. Their dreams are of finding ddr dogs with Rottweiler heads 27 -30 "tall and with saber tooth tiger teeth. This is far from the truth. Another thing many people may not know is the average male coming out of Germany is 25" or less and that goes for her Aron vom Poppitz to. This is all about post true facts some people learn here.

Not to be rude, but, exactly what are your credentials that make you an expert on DDR dogs and grant you the right to "veto".

It is hard to take seiously an anonymous poster who spends so much time making dictatorial pronouncements and declaring that you are the expert and your word is final.

Are you a breeder?  What is your kennel?  I would love to look at the pedigrees of your dogs.

No one is going to just "take it on faith alone" that you are the expert or that all official documents from the notoriously corrupt East Germany are to be believed over eyewitness testimony of several posters.

I am certainly not attacking you or calling you names.  I just want clarification about what your authority is based on.

If you cannot provide anything, there is no reason for anyone to ever listen to anything you have to say and look at you as an unqualified, non-expert bully.

Pharaoh Oh you are so right how can i compete with that huge saber tooth dog you want everyone to think was as ddr dog or MVF's monster size dogs 27-30",Wow! Oh lets not forget the old defunct DDR DSH records. That all data bases around the world use the ddr books to provide data to everyone including the PDB. I do not have to prove to you anything my knowledge and experience - is good and accurate. The two of you just write rubbish and fairy tales wake up you are tainted information for people that want to learn.

Hearsay & reminisces about a particular dog aren't reliable regardless of the poster's integrity. There's simply too much chance of human error. Unfortunately, neither are the written records. They might be the 'official' stats but  they're not necessarily the true & actual height. .It's widely known that over sized dogs, including those that were considerably over sized, were often given a wink & a pass, or even taught to crouch lower to pass the standard. Enforcing the maximum height has been a huge & contentious issue. It seems that it's been rigorously enforced only in the last few years.

Elkoor's info is consistent with what I heard from breeders who acquired over sized DDR stock many years back. Given that, & that s/he actually lived there for many years, I see no reason to discount her info.
