Scammer hitting Pedigreedatabase PM box - Page 2

Me too.....I just got one yesterday!  So weird, because it was just like one that I had received sent from my website last spring, and that one took me totally by surprise.  I called and read it to all my friends and , of course, decided it was BS and answered that all my pups were sold.  To think I would place a pup with someone I hadn't even talked to over the phone!!!  EEK.  So when I saw it yesterday, and read these posts, I just said to myself, "whatever" and deleted it.  SCAMMERS everywhere.  Makes you just want to hide on an island.

What do you mean by charge? I copied all the emails I got from the two different people and gave them the checks. I got a case number and the officer(  front desk) was happy to get all the info. That day I drove around every where from cashing the check, going home to print emails, going to the police station, go home and received another check and doing the same routine. After that day, I don't respond to emails with that format and they have to pay cash only.

Why did it come back on you? I also called the hotline on craigslist and filed a report.

PowerHaus, this is an obvious scam. Another was the guy from Florida who was offering fantastic bitches for sale at rediculous prices. The only thing that saved me was my  insistance that I had to fly down and see the dog before money changed hands.

Good advice for all is, if you ain't dealing with someone with a good reputation, "look before you leap".
