wazzup- because no one would ever, ever post an unflattering photo! Perhaps the breeder should have the guy with the banana hammock to stack her dog.

I did not post to make the breeder look bad, or to belittle one of their puppies.  but other people must agree, way too many dogs are being bred and shown that look like this.  something needs to be done.  this is not how the breed is intended to look.  And in no way can a dog perform day in and day out (gsd are supposed to have stamina and be able to work long hours) built like this.  you show me another herding/working/sporting breed out there with structure like this.

extreme angulation does not mean a top show prospect.  thats how alot of people choose their puppies it seems.  I personally want a balanced puppy, one who stands firmly on all for feet, not one who walks on its hocks or one of looks like a frog was attached to the rear end.

as far as not exposing her to the critisism of the board to be judged ect, that happened as soon as the picture was posted on a public database.  Both puppies available off the breeders website look like this.

look did you take the photo.i remember the guy in the speedo photo.you can bet thats the look she was going for cuz thats the look she or he is selling .ive gone threw dozens of rolls of film trying to get the right photo.i also tried to stack my dog for more angulation for fun.cuz my dogs have little to no angulation as i said the pose was done for my own amusement.if that was her best shot so be it but i doubt it.

That is my puppy, and yes she is agulated.  The stack does make her look slightly more extreme than she really is; photographing a drivey puppy is not easy.  She is at a developmental stage where she is much more extreme than she will be at maturity; this is just how her line develops.  She was NOT bred for extremes and she will NOT be extreme.  She will be well angulated as an adult, thats that.  She is not everyone's "type" of German Shepherd... and thats fine....I have my prefferences and others have theirs.  She is the type that I personally like.  I don't judge the type of dog others have or like, thats not my place, above everything I'm a fan of all German Shepherds.  Also, I think that it is only fair to inform the owner of a discussed dog in the event of a discussion....because I had no idea that my puppy was being bashed on this board until an un-involved party informed me.  Like I said earlier, if you don't like a certain dog's "type" that is your own personal prefference...others differ, it is no one's place to judge the personal prefferences of others ... and thats just that.

ashley i guess you did take the pics like i said if thats what you like go for it .but in my opinion thats to much .i do not care what you breed  .if thats what people want go for it. but i do think the american judges are steering away from that

I'm glad to see it was brought to your attention, Olga. I looked at your website and at the parents of this pup, and I think they are very nice.  As I said, the pup is leaning against a wall mid-sit, anyone with eyes should be able to see that.  Don't let it bother you.
