For Topdog and all who do not know why Dan is in the hospital. He had been having lower Back pain for about a week. THey visited their doctor and was told there was a growth on Danny's kedney. Danny was hospitalized the following day because the growth was a cancerous tumor which had started to bleed and cause blood clots That had gone to his lungs. To make a long story short the blood clots did alot of damage to his lungs and is preventing Danny from getting the surgery he desperatley needs to remove his kidney and each day they are recieveing worse news. The latest is that the cancer has grown into his major artiery. This is so bad for Danny and Julie and their wonderful family. I would like to say that I am so impressed with all the kindness pouring out of those on this board. The responses to Beth via this board and private e-mail shows how many really care about Dan and JULIE. Thank you all.

I would like to take a minute to personally Thank each and everyone of you have have responded via email, phone and this board. The response has been fantastic. So many loving and caring Hearts out in the GSD World!! Thank you all for your continued support.I will try to keep everyone posted with any new news on Dan, the fund raising and so forth. I am very impressed with all of you! I know this time of year is hectic for all and money is short but so many of you are laying all this aside to help out the Martinez Family in their time of need! My most sincere thoughts and prayers go out to the Martinez family. I do not know them, but was fortunate to meet a couple of members of their team at WDA in Madison. I could tell that they were good people. It is so shocking to learn this kind of news. It's even harder to deal with when you have a family with children. I can relate to what Julie is going through as we are going through a very similar situation. Please everyone pray for the Martinez family. Pray to St. Peregrine, the patron saint for cancer victims, on their behalf. God gives us many challenges throughout our lives. I pray that Dan & Julie will turn to God to help them through this. You can count our family in as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with Julie and her family at this time. We also don't know Dan and Julie very well. However, at the NASS this year we did have the pleasure of talking with them more. Dan talked with my husband Terence as if they were old friends. As he is new to the sport, this meant a great deal to Terence. We are praying for Dan's recovery, and praying to give Julie the strength that she needs now. It is wonderful to know that so many people do care and are willing to help. This is such a great idea, and it is wonderful to know that there are some very selfless people out there that are willing to help out in any way that they can.
