Missa
I could not help but post on this one, How can you say FURBO is the best, on the protection he was very poor indeed, He took the sleeve again at the start once he had let go, then on the long run He did not sit before going for the long Run then again after he let the sleeve loose he went for it another three times, Each time a lot of points should be deducted So for me it was a poor I know he is a Show Dog but discipline applies to those just the same as dogs working in a ScHh competition i would think,
When the world Champoinships are held in the USA later this year i hope the thoughts of yourself do not rub off on the Judges Bites are 'One' time only and that it no second or third grab at the sleeve on release,
and always the handler must sit the Dog before the long run to the sleeve, otherwise points are deducted
just my own thoughts on it i would not be a happy man if it had been my Dog but on the Sit the handler did not enforce it so the fault was his

There is nothing special about Furbo's TSB - plus he throws in a couple of dirty bites at the end. The Schutzdienst at the BSZS is really something of a joke - it doesn't say much about anything. If you want to see what a REAL courage test looks like, check out this video from the 2007 WUSV Weltmeister.....www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql_9s8KArXM

Will have to state that was a very slip shod performance! Good dog or not, are all dogs treated that leniently ?
That is the question to those who are attending this years show.

Debbie, in the Bottleneck thread, put it accurately:
Of course there are plenty of great trainers and clubs in Germany! the vast majority of Showline people do not care. Get that into your head. they have NO interest in pursuing and perfecting work. It doesn't matter what is available. They care most for getting that show rating and starting to make money with puppies and breedings.
You know, I've been hearing from Fred Lanting (who's at the Sieger right now, with his annual tour group) and others how bad the courage tests were at the Sieger, but this is the first time I've realized just HOW bad! That's just DISGUSTING!!
There are dogs in local North American Schutzhund clubs who can do better than that!!
Or, how about THIS courage test??

The words going through my head right now are the sort I don't usually post or use in public. I'm THAT disgusted!!
