I do not fast as I expect my dogs to work every day and I would not consider it humane or medically recommended to fast a dog when it works.
If a dog is ill that is an entirely different matter.

i fast my dogs 1 day a week. Usually on a training day

My dogs usually fast Sat mornings, and also if they have diarrhea or vomiting. I do it to allow their stomachs to clean out. My Vet thinks its a good idea.

I do not fast either, I do not feed large amounts to the one dog due to tummy problems ( small meals thru out the day), the other dog you can set your clock to his tummy alarm.
