i was in pomona, (close to the epicenter) with a friend in the basement of an antique store. the shops are all very old buildings. scared the crap out of us. we will probably both have finger marks on each others arms hanging on to each other in a doorway (the only shelter down there). when it finally settled down the owner came to find us and we shot up the stairs to the main floor. they had some breakage, no one was hurt. outside, everyone was trying to stay away from the old buildings. some of the upper floor windows had shattered and there was glass and some bricks on the sidewalks/streets. we couldn't get thru on our cells. we got to my house and the only damage i had was a very large slab with a big fish fossil had fallen and shattered. my son said that it just missed hitting angus running by it. i had a very large and heavy waterford vase that fell off a desk, but it landed first on a birthday present in a bag, then rolled off onto a very thick carpet, so it was saved. i have to say, i'd rather have the fossil back then a piece of crystal, but, them's the breaks ...haha. so far, all my family is safe and all our animals too. hope everyone else is okay too.
