You need to do that by updating your profile. There will be a place to add the picture.

I just found out about the AVATAR, and apparently it's not very inuitively obvious. It's not apparent on "your" personal login page, which is where it should be.
On this site they apparently call it "LOGO", which really doesn't quite make sense, but whatever!
You must go to the home page for ALL dogs on this site - i.e., hit the "Start Page" button on the top bar of each page - that means "home page" apparently, for the entire all-breed database.
Strangely there, you'll see a button on the left margin for "Edit Profile", which is where you can upload a pix from your hard drive under the "Logo" portion.
