well that was very brave of you, naming Karen but not naming all the other people you refer too.

really makes your points fruitless.

I am well aware that it was a new committee for this years two day show the majority whom have been attending shows (including two day nationals) and exhibiting GSDs for some time. I for one have most definitely made mistakes in my life but I hope I have learnt from my mistakes and won't make the same ones again.

I have been a club secretary and  organised shows I am well aware of what a thankless job it is. I am also well aware that the committee will have given up much of their time and worked very hard to organise the Scottish two day show. Unfortunately things did not go as they had hoped and the majority of exhibitors I spoke too did not enjoy the show. The biggest problem being the size of the rings, the judges and the time taken to judge the classes.

To state that "you all want to show your dogs the German way" is complete and utter nonsense and to compare the two day national to Germany is ridicules at the Sieger show classes are judged in smaller rings outside the main stadium and I don't think I have ever seen a ring as big as the one's at this years two day. Usually the crowds around the rings are three to four deep and outside attraction is allowed. only when judging in the smaller rings is finished do the top portion of the classes enter the main stadium to complete judging.

To verbally or physically abuse any stewards who are mearly doing a job is disgraceful and the people involved should be extremely ashamed of themselves.

There where many positives at the Two day show including the lay out of the catalogue(yes there where printers errors but isn't there always) nice trophies, rosettes and medals, T-shirts for all junior handlers along with super prizes, great hospitality tent with plenty of free drink , bottles of water at all four corners of the rings so dogs and handlers could have a drink, goody bags for all campers.  That being said it was still the worst Two day show I have ever attended sorry but I am being honest. I hope the committee will take my criticism as constructive and act upon it to make the next Scottish two day the best ever.

If Keith or I can be of any help in organising or setting up the Next Scottish two day show you only need to ask after all I am Scottish and very proud to be so. We have always been made most welcome at the Scottish shows and enjoy showing in Scotland long may it continue.

That's what we need... people willing to offer their help/advice.  Being on a committee and running shows is no picnic... I'm sure Scotland will learn from their mistakes.

I hope your offer is not overlooked indeed it may encourage others to do the same? Far better for all if we "work" together rather than just sit back and bitch... it's dreary, destructive and useless!
