Cynical Sue, but then again these things don't have to concern you anymore! Best to organise the SHOW SCENE for the EXHIBITORS, and leave the "meaningful" comments and opinions to those that experienced them. By the way Karen & Ryan have actually exhibited in Germany - MANY TIMES.

Problem we have there Dave is that I am still passionate about this breed and dont have to have a weekly ego trip to keep it and keep loving it. I also keep all my oldies to the bitter end, that's how much I love my dogs. So please dont go there with me.

Also, I am still serving on a committee to put on Show Scenes for the Exhibitors, which committee are you doing this on or come to think of it,  Karen and Ryan for that matter.  YOU go on and on about the Show Scene losing exhibitors and how without exhibitors there would be NO SHOWS -

WELL I GOT NEWS FOR YOU MATE, WITHOUT PEOPLE PREPARED TO DO THE WORK ON COMMITTEE'S THERE CERTAINLY WOULD BE NO SHOWS AND THEN IT WOULDNT MATTER IF THERE WAS EXHIBITORS OR NOT WOULD IT?

So stick that in your cynical pipe dream and smoke it.

Sue

Now I am truly beginning to understand the depth of our problems here in the UK - so clearly illustrated

There isn't a problem as far as I'm concerned with having foreign judges but can we make sure in future they have an adequate mastery of the English language.

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Jeanette, John, Karen and CH DRUMWHANNAN KORA on a fabulous and thoroughly deserved 3rd CC at our National 2 day!!!!  Having been out of the ring for a while on maternal duties, she certainly came back with a bang! Looking and performing better than ever.  Credit to you all for your hard work and dedication, it certainly paid off for you at the weekend.  She really looked amazing guys and was a very worthy winner.

Good luck for the future with her lovely son Drumwhannan Rossi.

Phew... well I hope everyone's calmer now?  I was at the 2 day and only really watched the bitch judge.

I feel for those on the committee; yes... it could have been better, there were many boo boos (catalogues, toilets, burger van, ring sizes etc).  What do you do with a KC officer on your back for the entire show?  If those running round the rings stopped when asked there would have been no need to keep repeating it.   The constant bawling, running, squeaking and ball bouncing serves little purpose... so many of the dogs pay no heed to it atall... yet they persist and run the risk of Clubs losing their tickets!  Many say that they prefer foreign judges because they actually judge the dogs, so Clubs often try to accommodate and at great expense.

Judge... well, I liked his decisions in the main, I don't know why the teeth routine was a problem... could he have been suffering from frostbite?

Let's call it an experience (an expensive one) and hope for better things from Scotland next time.

The WORST 2 say Show EVER - that is how it has been described, and already you are saying "hope for better things from Scotland next time" - sorry there should NOT be a next time - entries will be very poor. - DO we ever learn? NO. That is why our GSD show scene in the UK is DOOMED
