I definately agree the wrong dog's are in the wrong hand's. I would never expect to cuddle a police k-9 or someone's PPD.
The PPD thing really bother's me. I don't want to see one at the park around children or other pet's period.
You can't have it both way's.
Thats my opinion.

Agar, I too have a couple I put muzzles on AT THE VETS for certain procedures. I do not consider that "in public", they are not muzzled until we are in the exam room and I am the one that puts the muzzle on them. Note I do carry muzzles in the dogs first aid kits for many of the reasons you mentioned.
IMO a PPD should also be solid in public. When you got your guy, he was PPD first wasn't he? If you cannot take him with you going places without his wearing a muzzle doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a PPD?

people should be responsible for their own dogs first thing u do as a reponsible owner of working dogs is there is no reason why any one should be allowed near your dog no one should pet your dog.there is a reason why this police dog bit this idiot if you watch the vedio u will see that this guy constantly looking in to the dog's eyes and then he starts to move towards and over the dog.this is a big no no if you are around a working dog because you are dominating this dog and that is why he got bit.this is exactly the reason why an inexperience person should not approch your dog. have a nice one.
