Try dark sable but there is no black sable. I made the same mistake for years and was straightened out by another member.

German Shepherd Dog, oh come on, no black sables? :)
And then you said GSDguy, check it out for yourself or disagree with me, don't care. Try to register your SABLE as a black sable and see how that goes. Good luck.
Like I said, my first comment was sarcastic, and you felt the need to say I disagree with you and you don't care? Come on gsd, lighten up. Everyone else in this thread would have said something sarcastic back. I don't get mad just because someone disagrees with me, or think they're being "snarky". I just thought that was silly to say that to my comment.

Yes, I taught him to wave like that. It is great for demos. I did a demo today for 8 special needs kids. I heeled Boomer out wearing his sunglasses and he sat and waved to the kids. The kids love that at demos and when he opens the car door and get in by himself.
For the record Boomer is a dark red/black sable.

gg,
Thanks! Not bad looking for a "sable."

And yes I still have her but she is even darker now and bigger. She was a young girl in this picture. She is not the only dark sable I have but she is the only one I will show here. I also have some very nice looking all blacks and bi-colors.
Later.
