Well done to Zamp & Herr Dieterich

It truly was a great pleasure to see Zamp again, I watched him make Sieger in 2006 and it brought a tear to my eyes seeing him again today looking just as good as he did in 2006.

Never, in my opinion, has there been a more correct male shown in the UK and it was such a pleasure to watch.  He was shown in top condition and handled in the same manner as he was handled the day he took Sieger.

Well done to all other winners today.

Well said MandyMac only wish I wasn't stuck watching it on telly, have always wanted to go to crufts and watch it every year trying to pick out the winners from each group couldn't believe my eyes when Zamp came on the screen...its such pot luck once you win BOB....(it never helps when your dog is busy eating all the tit bits dropped by the other handlers!! which usually happens to me) now Zamp is not in contention my money is on the Giant Schnauzer (spl??) but lets see who wins tonight!!

Mirasmom...don't think you will find one unless someone gets it on youtube...the crufts site as far as I know only have the results listed.

GSD20007...Best not let my husband read anymore of this cause if he sees you have a talking dog he'll be the one crying into his tea as he thinks having a talking parrot is the business!!!

Well done again to all

Susie

Just to say what a privilege to see Zamp competing in the UK, this male is absolutely outstanding, for me he is the best GERMAN SHEPHERD I have seen in our rings to date..
His standing ovation when he took his lap of honour after B.O.B was very moving,
I left Crufts 08 feeling I had seen something very special, hope it is not the last time we see this magnificent male visit the UK,

CRUFTS 2008

OUR CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS AT CRUFTS 2008

What a fantastic and memorable day we all had, especially with our GSD's sharing the ring with Sieger Zamp vom Thermados. A truly great day!

Many congratualtions to all of those who did well at Crufts! I was not there but was kept well informed all day thanks to my good friends!

Zamp Thermodos is an awesome dog who its always a pleasure to see - hopefully the owners will have enjoyed their experience - it was an event in itself to have Zamp in the UK, letting many showgoers less travelled, see a most  worthy Sieger for themselves in the flesh!

To the on form Lararth Sassy - many, many congratulations - on the Crufts CC to add to the two others from this year alone! Another credit to the Bowen family in terms of presentation and fitness.

Congratualtions too to the irrepressible ICE.

And to Margaret Davies and her sable girl! Well done on her first major award.

I am sure Terry will have enjoyed the experience too - surely the first UK judge to judge a german sieger?

LETS HOPE THAT THE COMRADERY AND TRUE BREED ENTHUSIASM WHICH SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCED DURING ZAMPS VISIT TO THE GREEN CARPET IS THE START OF A GREAT PERIOD FOR THE GERMAN SHEPHERD IN THE UK, AND BRINGS STILL GREATER LINKS WITH THE CONTINENT.

Too bad Zamp's owners didn't have Jimmie Moses to handle him at Cruft's. He probably would have at least placed in the group. No one does a better job handlling a GSD in conformation than Moses.

Is Zamp the first Sieger to win BOB at this show?

Here's the link to the Cruft's show. Click on pastoral and then GSD. There is a photo of Zamp on the GSD page.
