Fact,8 maybe even 9 inquiries result in no sale,I truly enjoy taking as much time as I can with each and every one, and answering any questions to the best of my ability. This may result in a sale later in life,or information they get might prove to better prepare them for any breeding they may do in the future possible with one your dogs or maybe not. I also think a follow up email from the person asking questions should at least send a quick email thanking you for your time even if it is to say you are not ready to buy at this time regardlees of their reason Anybody in this line of work be it as a hobby or full time profession should be willing to share his or her knowledge with anybody asking.Put aside 1 hr per day or even every other day to just answer emails.Due to the internet we all have a multi regional, international customer area and it cost very little compared to your local newspaper with a limited customer base.Is it really that big a deal to answer a few questions? Like someone mentioned above, have everything in a zip file and off it goes.

Andrew, I see your point. But what if you tell the breeeder you want to buy a six month or lder dog that they were planning on keeping? I did this and said that I was very committed to getting a certain bitch out of Mittelwest Kennels. I negotiated a price and said that I would pay for the vetting and Xraying in advance, since Julie had no plans to Xray the bitch right away. She was just going to keep her. Julie was willing to do me a favor because she knew why I wanted to get a female out of her VA Hanah (I regard her as the finest total GSD bitch I had ever seen--very hard temperament, but friendly and unbelievably intelligent). So I had to prove I was not just a taker or a tire-kicker by paying these vet expenses, otherwise she would be out the money(she would have had to Xray again at 2 years old anyway, so it would have been extra expense). I don't think Julie would have allowed me to purchase this geogeous bitch if I hadn't payed the vet expenses and shown a good attitude. I had one litter out of her and she reproduced Hanah's type, intelligence and temperament, which is what I had hoped for. I felt very fortunate that Julie would sell me such a top bitch and I feel she negotiated a very fair selling price once she knew that I was a serious buyer and was willing to take charge with the vet expenses. I bred this best puppy bitch out of this bitch I bought and sure enough, I got another bitch with Hanah's type and temperament. So I was correct that Hanah was a dominant bitch line for female type and temperament. Some of Julie's bitches carry dominant bitch lines that are extremely rare and valuable. That is why I wanted to buy this Hanah daughter from her. I just cannnot buy any dog less than six months ld and not completely vetted with hip and elbow Xrays. Any reputable breeder will do this for you at an unscheduled or irregular time if you are willing to pay for it. If Julie likes you and knows you are serious she will do her best to help you get the dog you want.

Charlie, again, I missed why you were not at the USA Sieger Show, could you enlighten me? Were you and Dawnmarie fixing all the wrong in genetics/photograghy/politics/the world?

Hi Ricardo, I agree with what you’re saying. If the buyer is making the contact and courting a person on the sale of a dog that has not been listed, then the buyer should assume all costs if they are fortunate enough to get the person to agree on selling. Where I take exception is when a Kennel lists a dog for sale and you have to go through many steps to get at the info you really need. Just like tire kickers are time consuming and annoying, so are kennels who just don't list all the pertinent facts about a dog that their selling in a complete fashion right from the beginning. In end it only causes them more time and aggravation to put the info together for everyone that inquires, and most of the time something important is omitted which requires further emails back and forth. In my opinion it’s just not professional and always leaves me with an uneasy feeling regarding how reputable they may be. Why leave important info out, or drive you crazy trying to get it? What are they trying to hide? I can understand not listing a selling price, that is something that should be negotiated privately, but everything else?

Liz, what the hell are you talking about? If you have a beef with Dawn thats fine To the best of my knowledge I have said nothing disrespectful to you at anytime.I have no problem with you what so ever.If for some reason you do not like me then fine, don't talk to me makes no matter to me,Your just a faceless name on a computer screen.I've said nothing bad, just voiced my ideas...If you don't like it to bad.....lol.Why do you need to come off as a bitch to me? Man, you must be a real pleasure to wake up next to.....lol. Don't take life so serious,it's to short. If your biggest problem in life is what I post on this board then I'd say your doing ok.In regards to your Sieger.......lol. Your right, I was not there, nor do I even play in Schutzhund,Been to several local clubs over the years and frankly found it somewhat boring. If and when you would like to try a real sport, much more life like you let me know, and I'll give you my number,we can then see if your dog is all show or it would in fact PROTECT you, would you like to take me up on that Liz?like to place a little side bet that I can shut your dog down and make it look rather pussy like on the field under real life situtations?just let me know and we can set it up...Oh, don't forget to vote.........

Questions and requests from buyers are just part of selling dogs. Yes, some take more time and effort than others, but, IMHO It is worth it to find the right home. To me it says that this person is going to respect and care for this investment. I have no problem giving as much time as needed with most of them. What the hard part to me is, is weeding through all of it, to bypass the ones who expect too many promises out of a puppy. One can only give an educated guess as to EXACTLY how they will turn out. If one could guarantee the puppy would VA then, I'm guessing that they would be either the richest most famous breeder in the world or the poorest because of all the law suits filed against them. Bottom line is, that PR skills go a long way. Any sales person knows that you have to "jump through hoops" for many to find the right person. To me talking about my dogs is never a waist of time. Dawn uses you whenever she wants to plant a cheap shot, sorry I thought you were partners in insult games. I have agreed with you on many of your posts and thought better of you in the past. But your connection with Dawn was tainting your image. Peace

Liz, As I said before, I thought you and I were ok,I have let a couple of your digs go unanswered as they were very minor,we all have bad days and I thought I might have said something to maybe bug you somewhat, shit happens,When I saw your most recent post I was somewhat suprised,at what was said and more who it was said by.perhaps your post is truely how you feel about me and I'm ok with that,we can agree to disagree sometimes but I felt compelled to answer your last post.I have never met Dawn, seems like a nice person to me and until she proves me wrong I stand by my nice person statement.I also feel the same way about you and most all of the people on the board.I take back the un need remarks made to you but I have a habit of letting things build to a point before I say something then hammer whoever it is doing the attacking.Sorry if I offend you, most all of it minus the invite to work your dogs with my trainer to perhaps try something new?French ring has been around a long time but a lot of people know little of it.The dogs have a blastand in the end are much more likely to if the day should ever come do a live bite if need be.Hope we are still ok and again sorry about the more harsh comments made to you by me. Charlie....
