Birdy

I made an inquiry to one who is complaining on this thread about how nice their kennels were and ask some information about them... Strangely enough they haven't taken the time to write me either, just a simple question. I think this is rude and enough so I won't recommend their dogs to anyone because of it. I think if you have a website up for the public to see you should be willing to answer a dog related question from an inquiry. Nice people get more word of mouth than those who don't take the time to do so it's a proven fact. Birdy...

probably my enlish is not good enough, but in all the posts the main point is missing. of course it¿s not a problem if "buyers" ask questions and want to see pics or videos, but if they get all that is it really too much to expect an answer???

Birdy, exactly! What really upsets me when I see theses breeders websites is that they have hardly no information about the parents (only except that their titled) or their lines (they only have the pedigree with no explanation) and etc. They have no information regarding to schutzhund and how to start. They have titled parents but don't want to take the time to explain to potential buyers. They worry too much of putting the right kind of annoying musik/Graphics on their website rather then putting up useful information. What really upsets me the most is that they REFUSE to show their PRICE! It really shows that their ashamed to show their asking price because it's probably too high! The more popular breeders should stop being so afraid and show their PRICE! I promise you that we, as a potential buyer will stop sending you lame emails with questions. Gosh aren’t we such bad people that we are caution about being ripping off on the net?

Please forgive me if I am wrong in my interpretation, but maybe I read things differently from others. I dont think that either Sendling or Solo are actually complaining about the fact that people want all the information listed in their posts, I think they are complaining that the proposed 'buyer' doesnt have the common decency to come back with a response after the information is provided, whether it is a yes please, no thanks ot kiss my arse! Carol: Thank you I was beginning to think the world has gone crazy, and people can no longer read ENGLISH. It is exactly the point - NO REPLY, NO RESPONSE. of course information is required to persue a purchase, that is absolutely normal and recommended. Once the information is provided, paid for or not, (it still takes time) a reply to say, "I have decided not to buy this dog" would be reasonable. Of course "FUNK MAN" has scurried out of his hole, with another lying vicious comment. I must have refused to sell him one of my dogs. He keeps proving what a correct decision I made.

Ogi, your English is perfect, and you are absolutely correct, people should be considerate enough to reply back in a timely fashion, my apologies.

Preston - I do not think photos and videos should be paid for by buyers. Much of the current information on dogs is available on line, and those are usually going to be found. However, there should be some serious dialog prior to videos being sent that the buyer is not just a 'tire kicker'. However, if a sale goes so far as NEW x-rays of an adult, then yes, the buyer should cover these. Brokers who have adult dogs for sale should have these on hand for prospective buyers. Brittany - you need a keeper. Someone to rein you in and slap your hands until you grow up. No one in their right mind would want to sell you a dog once they read your site, your rhetoric on so many boards and lists, and got a sense of your level of ???? mental competence/maturity. Get off the price being public kick and go take a course in ettiquette somewhere. It is not your business what people charge or people pay. It is not your business what someone's salary is; it is not your business what their car cost, their clothing costs, their daughter's wedding costs! It is not your business what anyone spends on anything!!! When it is time for soemone to sell a dog to a serious buyer, then the price is discussed between those 2 people. They are the only ones whose business ti is where the dog is priced! I think that buyers have a right to do research, and in fact should do more research. Especially if they deal with "friends". It is easy to get screwed by someone you trust. Been there, done that, have the T shirt. And buyers need to be honorable [us spelling] and keep to their side of the bargin/contract as well. Common courtesy dictates that a kennel or breeder should respond to every inquiry. However, Birdy, sometimes emails just get lost, computers crash, the subject line is not written in such a way that the email looks like an inquiry and the email gets deleted with all the daily junk. Scams are just that - they are prolific and junk mail daily fills up everyone's in boxes about millions of dollars in bank accounts in Nariobi or some other country, there are constant ebay and bank scams where people are asked to provide their Social security number and bank and credit card information. Dogs, Cars, horses are all subject to the infamous 'cashier check' scam where the buyer sends a check for more money than the object and asks for a refund of the difference. I just put my van on the net for sale, and got 3 inquiries very similar to the ones for dogs and horses that I have seen and heard about. It is as much 'seller beware' now as it used to be 'buyer beware' Dave
