MVF - I really like Cordula = little heart and you could add " Cordula Grande Amore" = little heart, big love - a little mix of spanish - if I knew the german it might sound as good.

Happy birthday - what a great gift.
I always liked the name Grendhal. She was my families first gsd and I have not been able to name another one that as she was so very special and irreplaceable.
I also like - Schatz - little treasure and Etta - strong fighter
Good luck naming your pup and don't forget to let us know what name you pick for her.

clewsk9s: It would be Cordula Grosse Liebe in German. Not quite the nice ring of yours.
Cordula has the same etymology in romance and germanic languages -- the "cor" is a root of heart in many languages. Maybe that is why your hybrid German-Spanish name works so well.

"Caden" means fighter but is american, I just like it because it's different.

MVF - yeah it just doesn't sound as good in German, but I love having meaning behind the names. Mine have lived up to theirs and then some. Thanks for the info on the "cor" word root, it is interesting to know.

Hey you guys! Don't Hate Me But.........
I have choosen another girl sable over Sam's only girl sable.
I am picking one of Bonnie's(Sam's daughter) sable girl pups, or should I say the puppy
has picked me.
This Bonnie girl pup half walks, half crawls out of the door way,
of her puppy pen, (she's climbing over a whopping 4 inch threshold!)
And comes over to me at the computer & lays by my feet!!
Mind you she is 12 days old, much stronger & tougher, than her (Aunt /halfsister?) is that how it goes??
I love Sam, but can't justify keeping her girl cause it was the only sable girl.
Still checking on all these names!
