I also have a female pup out of Bazi's first litter - Anka von der Grübecke. She is a sweet girl with a very dominant personality. Has has very dark red and black color with a black muzzle. Her pigmentation is excellent. She is extremely smart and has no fear of anything. She will stand her ground under any circumstances. I also have a 113 lb Neptun V Bad-Boll son who is also very dominant - Anka runs all over him. The problem is that she is very small in my opinion - 63lbs. Her head is very small. She is about the size of a small Malinios. Her gait is wobbly from the back. She tends to drag the toes on one foot when she runs. The nails stay worn down from the top. I've had her x-rayed at six months and was told that she should not be bred and that HD was a real possibility as she ages. I do give her glucosomine daily and only excercise her in moderation. She makes an excellent pet - for now. She is extremely loyal. I don't know what medical problems I can expect. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten another Bad-Boll pup.

Hi Guys, well let's see, as we all know puppies are a gamble and since we can't forsee the future we have to know that sometimes things will go wrong with our pups and those things will  most certainly put a crimp in our plans. It doesn't always mean that a breeder purposely produced a litter with physical defects. Yes I will agree that $2,000 and $2,500 is a bit much for an unproven puppy, but there are some of us that will spend that amount because we are  wanting a pup from a particular VA male or female parent. Bazi is still quite young and is already a new VA and only recently went V6 in Germany, that says alot about this dog. From what I hear that is how much his pups are selling for here in Texas.  Whether we want our pup as a show dog or a future breeding dog or just that loving companion that will be raised along side our children, good genes is very important. It does not matter if those genes come from Bazi, or Ham and each breeder will decide the price of their pups. I chose to purchase a Bazi pup knowing the gamble, not everyone will feel the same as I do, that is their option.   I  only know a few people that have Bazi puppies and what I see consistent in each of these pups is excellent drives, very nice pigment and a very loving, social stable temperament. As Jeff  stated, I imported Adrian von der Urbecke directly from the Urbecke Kennels in germany. I could not be happier with this puppy, it is as though he was picked just for me, because our personalities work well together. He is an outstanding boy with very, very  nice drives, is highly intelligent (he is a thinker), very loving and is consistently testing his position as alpha, (thank goodness I am the bigger alpha). I don't know if I helped Melissa or not, but I hope this helped  her at least a little.

Respectfully,

Debbie

In any case, the TJ pups at $1250 appear to be very well priced.  And the breeder is doing a lot to get things right.

I will definitely look at the website. My husband and i are very much interested in a Bazi puppy. I have had numerous emails from people on this site since my first post, and every single one has been nothing but praise for their Bazi pups! This is very good news for me, since I think he's a great dog. Also, Debbie.. Adrian is one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen thanks so much for the pictures! Thanks so much for the emails, you did indeed help me! I would like to keep your email for when we decide a bit more on what we are thinking of doing. Thanks again Melissa

You stated it perfectly, Debbie,,,as Dean Calderon states it....breed the best and hope for the best.......cannot control the heritage from 50 years ago, as to what might show up and you have a female on the other side also...

I have also seen nice herding drives in his pups.  Nice sweet boys, with great drives, I have been very impresed by what I have seen out of him.
