DO YOU KNOW WHY HE DID NOT PASS

by Jantie on 01 September 2007 - 14:09

No need to shout Mad! (Using Capital letters is equal to SHOUTING on the Internet, should you not be aware of that, no offense.)

People giving info on this board are sitting at home, RECEIVING news from people that attend the show (and bother to call longdistance to inform people at home). One cannot expect that for every individual dog, we can call back and make them find out. Never ever was there so much live-info coming from the show to people at home. Please be gratefull and patient. Thank you.

When dogs are not listed in the results-lists after Protection, they are OUT. Reasons will be mentioned later, when people that actually witnessed the events can elaborate on what happened. Hope this helps.

Some people are doing a hell of a job!

Have a look at these pictures (and thank the people that make this live-event possible!)

I am very sad to hear that Teejay did not pass bitework. I always hope to see the American bred and owned GSD's do well at the most important show of all. His owner/breeder must be very disappointed.

FYI ...I was not shouting I just had the cap. on the computer on nothing more.......so don't get your undies in a bundle

Dog1,

It is a legitimate question WHY Teejay and Nick failed, as they have greater relevance to the US breed than most European dogs. This is especially true as Teejay is generally considered to be a very sound dog. While I can give no first hand reason, I can speculate that they may have been off due to travel stress, etc. Teejay performed well last year, and placed very well in a tough class. Best Wishes to All, and many thanks to those providing info for those of us stuck at home. Jonah

Jantie,

A little bit of irreverent humor is welcome, though I nearly shit myself scanning the posts and reading "...Quenn ...broken leg..." Best Wishes, Jonah

Just as the whole picture and detailed evaluation of the dog is more useful than a show placement, the specifics of a dogs successful or unsuccessful performance are important to better know what role that dog may play in a breeding programme. Pride and prestige are trivial to the concerns of serious breeders, but are certainly sought after recognition for years of dedication to our dogs. Best Wishes, Jonah

Yes, it was a bit on the edge Jonah! But then again, all things CAN happen, and we have to be aware of that.

Very funny how you almost sh* yourself. It would shock me too if something really awful did happen. Let's hope not!

Enjoy the news as it comes in!

Jantie,

I was wrong with Wilko's result :) And You wrote that Ghandi and Ulk couldn't present their progeny groups. Do You know why?
