Her vet has been a detriment and has giving poor explantions...saying everything is stretching, so the bitch is passing blood due to tear tissues...what a bunch of hooey.

My above post should've read 98.7 is low, almost low enough for labor. Not all bitches experience those temp drops, though, so don't put too much stock in them.

A good vet would do a scan and find out where the pups are, and know exactly how old the whelp is.Also can feel your female and know what is happening..HE can time her labor if she is in labour, for you and advise you how to proceed. Best you keep calm as your dog feeds off your actions and your feelings..It is trying for you yes, as you see now..... I would not wait Go to a vet who is older and experienced. She needs to be seen immediately...IF she has an infection, some antibiotics are harmful and one is not...she can be given several things which will not harm pups..I had one bitch who showed infection from who knows why and she ws put on antibiotics and whelped in one week. Albon is used for several things on females with whelp and Amoxicillian is mild and not harmful..so go to a vet but let her stay in car until time to see the vet. DO not expose her to sick dogs in waiting room..Vet can go out to your vehicle if they know you have a pg near whelping time..if not put socks on her 4 feet if she has to walk in and take her in a back door to not be so prone to AIR bourne germs..
Keep the diet simple, buy some canned puppy food if nothing else..NO added salt or milk ...keep her food simple or she will have diahrea from diet change..

Corned beef hash is not fit for dogs to eat, nor is grits. But as YR said, keep e diet simple, feed raw beef, raw beef liver would be excellent in small quantities.

Another update, as if there needs to be more right now, she had a stringy mucus come from her vulva. It was clear, yellowish and it wasn't a lot. If this is the beginning of her much plug coming out, how long do I have?
How could I have screwed this up so bad! Not only did she mate but I apparently don't know when! (Bashing my head on the wall) I knew I took all the precautions...I just knew. Forgive me.

I normally do not use canned dog food either, but all vets will advise to give puppy food to any bitch when near whelp for the folic acid and if that is all the dog will eat better than nothing with many more vitamins than any other bit and pieces because she says the dog is not eating.
Raw meet can cause diahrea if her dog is not use to eating it..I did not read any diet she mentioned but getting too much raw meat can cause a bunch of problems..NO I do not use canned dog food but in this case it is better than dog not eating..
Diahrea at this time is not good either...Find something and STICK WITH IT>.do not keep changing . I have always recommended raw meats and rice etc but in this dog we have a whole other problem..DOG is not on our kind of program so we have to do the best to keep the dog with no bowel problems..MOST vets would use a prescription food at this point as this dog is in distress evidentually..
I hope she gets a vet and at this point any dog food ,that will firm up the bowel before it goes into sluffing and the dog is in bigger trouble, is gonna have to work..
Most germans need a constant diet unless this poster has been using a big selection of raw meats all this dogs life.feeding raw meat to a huge amount is not good...It is a shame at this point when the dog needs top nutrition the dog is not on a regiment already of the best diet it could be on..lf it was , some of these problems would be null and void..treating diahrea in a preg female is hard as most of the meds cannot be given if with pups. Mash up banana and feed with rice if diahrea comes on this bitch until the vet gives appropriate meds. I use several methods .and hopefully she asks the vet what to do in case of..
Hope she is at the vet right now and we get good news that the pups and mom are ok.

First... take a deep breath! The spotting may or may not be of concern. Puppies that have been reabsorbed can cause spotting during a bitch's pregnancy. This is something that you've already mentioned may be a possibility.
All of the other things you mention (loss of appetite, loose stool, panting, digging, restlessness) are all perfectly normal throughout the course of labor and delivery. No need to force the dog to eat and no need to worry about the loose stool. These are normal occurances and she has gained plenty of weight, so no need to worry about her not having enough nutrition to support herself in addition to the pups. If your dates are correct and she is aborting the litter pre-term, there is nothing you can do about it to save the pups at this point. They are far too early to be saved. If you missed a tie and she is full term, it sounds like everything is going fine.
The biggest concern is that you don't know the history of the sire. Dogs can pass STDs to each other just like humans. Herpes and Brucellosis are two of the most common diseases that can cause aborted litters and other problems. If the male passed something to your bitch during breeding, chances are the this litter will be lost and your bitch will need to be tested to see if she requires additional treatment.
Best thing to do at this point is to get an ultrasound to see if you can see any dead pups. If she is aborting the litter and there are dead pups, she may not be able to get them out by herself. If the pups look healthy and full term, you can probably just go home and let her labor.
Best wishes for a successful outcome.
