This is pretty much stupid. Calm down. It was an honest mistake.

 And I cannot believe that anyone would want to stir the *(&t up again by resurrecting a FOUR YEAR OLD THREAD THAT WAS DEAD AND DONE...UNTIL YOU SAW FIT TO BRING IT BACK FROM THE DEAD!

<sigh>

The American line can reduce the roach on the back of many GSD's.

The point is that it is harder to place puppies. Most people who want a pup of excellent pedigree want either, not a mix.

Most of my Am Showline pups were sold on their pedigree.

Verrrrrrrry interessssssting! So, is this really a 15 yo, or an undercover cop who took the wrong turn on the information highway. Nearly IDENTICAL post almost a year ago, and that one indicated only one post, too.

Hats off to the balanced people on the PDB who posted above.  Those who evaluated all the information and looked beyond the path directly in front of you.  To those who are on the "Am lines are shit" side...it always amuses me to see..the almighty Eu lines can do no wrong...I see posts on swimmer puppies, posts on bloat, posts on dogs and puppies that died suddenly, posts of puppies with HD so bad they had to be put down, posts of dogs attacking trainers instead of the threat,dogs with poor pigment, dogs who are fearful, etc, etc etc.  What's the responses to these? "Oh...poor so and so , how unfortunate, it was the trainers fault, THAT kennels fault, the dog was confused, just about any other excuse or reasoning under the sun...if it's a European bred dog it's ANYTHING but the breeding, oh no not that, no sir ee...our dogs are top notch, no problems here.
Now, god forbid it's an American bred dog...then it's always the same "those dogs have cooties" finger pointing , Am dogs are crap talk...always....

How many SCH dogs are out herding or tracking or being trained as service dogs?  The GSD was meant to be the total dog, ultimately...NOT just a Sch dog...that is just as unbalanced as just a "Conformation" dog.  I know some people on this DB that truely do it all.  I know some Am line dogs that have Sch tiltes along with many other titles..

Good grief.
Euro lines are just as blind to their faults as Am lines are to theirs.

Again, way to go those of you who objectively evaluated the whole picture. To those people, I hope you mentor more like you...to the others...well there's no point arguing with those who can't see beyond their personal feelings to concrete data.
