Not everyone with a showline  weighed in on Ruger's thread, I can think of three more just off the top of my head.  I think there are many more showline on here than that shows. 

Lets try the working dog forum.  Jim is a huge vat of info, Chaz also, and I'd love to see them and others like Gustav, Duke, olskool, and Phil get some meaty conversations going. 

No it isn't double speak, I still think the problem is when we are confusing lines with the activities, (again!). No one should want to split the breed into lines, but as the activities are so disparate, there is that perception within the people, concerning the lines they prefer.

Just as language is said to define a culture, the GSD purists all around, do not want to see the "split" lexicon being supported. I think it is as simple as that. I hope it is as simple as that! LOL

Let's just say the bite sports with their workingline dogs found this place first. Then people like me showed up and dumbed the place down. But it was the discovery of the workingline/sports/real dog people that actually was the most intriguing draw for the couch potato crowd, that means me.  Go figure.

So much bandwidth dedicated to this and so little to the posts like those about the DNA test for DM, a disease that effects all GSD's regardless of the lines?

What's the matter Ninja? Cat's got your tongue this morning!!! LOL

If you have more to say about DM, then say it Blitzen. I don't see why letting people talk on this thread takes away any of the seriousness of that disease. Keep hitting bump if you want it to stay on top.

You guys keep saying this used to be a working line place, but then double speak and say don't diminsh it to between SL and WL, I am not but you guys seem to be.

No, it's not about WL vs SL, it's about working a working dog!  It's about ensuring that the future keeps our beloved breed as a physically and mentally capable WORKING DOG, no matter the lines.
