Hexe are you wondering if Max is speaking of PMs he got from a moderator or member other than German Shepherd Dog? Speaking for myself, I haven't had any PM conversation with Max. Perhaps Max can clarify whether or not he is referring to the PMs he exchanged with German Shepherd Dog?

And Phil, I think the 'recourse' members/participants have if they don't care for the changes or the moderators' actions is pretty obvious: dissatisfied members can stop using the site. If a sufficient number of members do that and revenue from the site declines to a degree where it becomes a concern for the site owner, then good business sense will dictate that changes are once again needed. Although you and I are Americans, this site is not, and it is unreasonable to demand the owner operate it in any fashion other than as he sees fit. I've been here since 2003, started out lurking before I signed on, and I'm going to ride this tide out for a while and see where it goes, at least for the time being. I encourage you to do likewise, as you would be a lost asset here, IMO.

Let's get back to the task of making this a good community for all aspects of the GSD. Oli has taken the first step. He has also apparently removed some mods that many disagreed with.
These mods seem determined to be fair and impartial, if not, then we can again take it up with Oli. It looks to me that this has already been effective.
And to those who wish to be able to make any poor comment desired to others, and to limit discussion as to what they approve of only, I only wish to say "bye".

2. Email the site owner.
3. Simply leave.
Do not get me wrong we want no member to leave, but you say it all in your above post.
The site owner does not have to allow free speech and if you look around 99.9% of all forums are moderated. If you stay on topic and are respectful you should have no worries. Really simple.
Are you guys looking for an OT forum? A forum not really about dogs, but about all the ism's I listed in a post above. Do you want a free for all forum? What is hard about the concept of a dog forum being a dog forum? I do not get the opposition of the site owners wishes.
Regards,
GSD

And while I know you're a stand-up guy, I'll refrain from commenting on your assertion that you're of better character than any of the three mods, since I don't know who they are, and therefore haven't formed an impression of their characters as of yet. I do know that I'd no more want to volunteer any of my time to serve as a moderator for a message board than I'd submit to having a root canal done without nitrous oxide.

The moderators are granted rights that I am not,,,,,and I can almost 100% guaranty, I come from higher moral fiber than all 3 "chaperones" combined.
Phil you are much more pragmatic then this. The moderators can't know your moral fiber just as you can not know the moral fiber of the moderators. Its not that the moderators are granted rights that you are not, this is a privately own site that we get the pleasure of using.
Here are your moderators.

SitasMom, there is no power trip by these people, I have not seen that demonstrated What I have seen, is what Oli ( the owner of the website ) brought them in to do. There was some very serious bad behavior taking place. Behavior that was becoming unhealthy and threatening to some members. He did what he believes is best for the product he owns.
Here are your moderators.
