I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but can the owner not go back to the breeder? Surely the breeder will have a record of who bought pups from these bloodlines. To avoid any breaches in confidentiality, perhaps the breeder could contact these owners on this person's behalf... Just a thought.

Update: A kidney was successfully transplanted into Orso and it is making urine.
Now we have to hope that the match was good enough and the immunosuppressive drugs are strong enough so that the new kidney is not rejected.
Orso's owner asked that I convey his gratitude to those on the forum who have been helpful during this very difficult time.
