"Abhay, I think a strong point to consider is that for every dog one hears about with bad hips or allergies, there are perhaps hundreds with normal hips and without allergies. Our human nature is to complain about things bad, and not praise when things are good."
It's not simply human nature to complain - it's human to want help when there are problems! No problems, no point bothering people about it.
As for me, I'll whine about my current all-German Euro GS who has massive allergies from a baby, sensitive GI problems, food aggression, apparent hip problems, and also general wimpiness which I have helped allay as she ages.
I'll also regale you with accolades for my old GS, half German, half American (gasp!!! oh my!!) who was truly the greatest dog I've ever even heard of, bar none, much less was privileged to own. Never heard of a greater dog; someone always mentions something that makes me think "not as good as beloved Shana".
When I have reason to celebrate, I'll celebrate!

I detest dog fighting. Those who figh tdogs are going to rot in hell, and probably get torn apart for all eternity by the spirits of all those dogs that could have made someone a very good pet.
By the way.... coons arent something I would willingly let my dogs fight!!!!! they are friggin viscious!!!!!! they carry diseases AND THEY EAT TRASH FOR GODS SAKE!!!!!!! My fiancee loves to go coon hunting. I personally don't. why? because rabies infested little balls of trash covered fluff SCARE ME!!!
