Jen, you most certainly were there for him...our physical presence is not our only means of 'being there' for any person or animal we love. To say this post stunned me is an understatement...and I wish so much that you had been able to embrace him yourself one final time, just for that small bit of solace your soul would have gotten from it.
There's simply nothing good that can be said about these events, and my heart goes out to you in the grieving of him. I'm so very sorry.

I said I was never posting again, but I am here to ask you PLEASE, help Jennifer by donating because she has to pay a 1200 cremation cost in addition to the 8 thousand dollar vet bill. This girl has rescued so many dogs, of many different breeds, helped so many people, paid for people's dog food, vet bills and other things, no matter how much she herself needed the money. PLEASE help her. She is, of course, absolutely devastated because he seemed to be recovering. Thank you for whatever you can do.
