Being cow hocked is just another "fault" that is indeed within the genetics of this breed.
It does not stem just from "extreme" or over angulation...because some of the WL's can exhibit the problem also. There are also variations of the condition.
NO...it is not something a breeder "strives" for, or intentionally breeds for.....but it does happen.
Even the best possible, careful breedings can and do birth problems or faults....just a plain fact.
The message that (I believe) is......this young dog, deserves a loving, caring home...as do all dogs. Being cow hocked does not mean she is "crippled"....nor is it a reason to be cast away like yesterday's garbage.
No one person that has posted, has said it is "correct"...only that it can get better in time with proper care & physical conditioning....and not most definitely will.

Has anyone emailed John? I can't imagine someone has not.
No one can be too careful taking her in. Maybe I just try to be, but going to parks (not dog parks) etc doesn't compare to a bitch coming from a multi breed breeding kennel with an owner who doesn't seem to give a crap about a life. Brucellosis is a concern, bred or not along with whatever else she may have come in contact with.
I don't think anyone will get her as I said before, this is her so called evidence.
Poor girl stuck in the middle.

Here in Ct. there are many not so great stories abouth this kennel in dog circles regardless of his big rep in the dog world. This summer his female had a litter of Remo pups. I called John to buy a male and reserve it and was told that would be $4K- okay I said and he sends me a contract.
The contract gteed hips for 15 months and no health gtees at all with a law firm stipulated for arbitration of disputes. I called him and indicated that I thought for that much of a premium for a pup there should be a better gtee and his response was basically do your business somewhere else.
NICE!!!

I disagree about the dog being "evidence"; in order to prove any damages, a loss has to have occurred in most cases. Unless she sells the dog for significantly less than she paid for her, how can she say she's suffered any loss at all?

As is often the case, this post is laced with lies. What can be seen from the youtube tape is outright abuse. I'd like to see the author stand on hot summer blacktop with bare feet as this poor female is. She is continuously dragged onto the blacktop against her will as her feet burn. She even tries to lie down to avoid the heat. Some people should not have animals. I can't get into the other facts of the matter but suffice it to say...BS. A replacement was offered on numerous occasions, as we always strive for satisfaction. But after seeing how she treats her animals...no way. JOHN
