It's really quite simple, if we use the pdb and the forums the way they were intended all will be well. If we act like a bunch of trouble makers and bashers sooner or later we will be banned from this site. I feel the moderators are a good thing and if they act fairly and treat everyone equal, I don't see a problem with moderation. The people who continue to cause strife on this forum should and will be banned according to the moderators and if they can't or won't comply with the rules then I say good riddance.I'm all for a clean slate and a new beginning for everyone.                                            Michael

Moderator German shepherd dog said to Mainly Max:

"I want an apology for you saying you received bad pm's. That is wrong and an outright lie."

Hmm.  Dear moderator, this statement concerns me, because it leads me to wonder:  how is it that you can be SO VERY rock-sure that Max did NOTreceive the PM's he claims to have gotten...unless the moderators have access to everyone else's PM in-boxes, and therefore you can see what PMs he's received and what PMs were sent by others?  Because that's the ONLY way you could be 100% certain that the messages Max is referring to were never sent and do not exist--sure, the other moderators could TELL you that none of them sent any such messages, but you couldn't really be SURE about.  You could only be sure that all of the mods were denying having sent any such PMs, and hope that it was the truth.

So at the risk of earning the wrath of one or more moderators, I ask you to either confirm or allay my newly-risen fears:  Do the moderators have ANY form of access to the PM in-boxes of all PDB members?  What about the member's PM out and sent boxes?  IMO, IF the mods have the ability to access the contents of a member's PM account, then there's no point in there even BEING a PM function, because the whole concept of 'private message' would be negated.

All moderators see their own pm boxes and that is it. We do not care what you pm each other.

I am the one that sent the personal messages to Mainlymax and I stand by my statement. No other moderator pm'd him. I have the private messages.

I do take it seriously that someone is trying to bait a moderator and making it look like a moderator is sending bad personal messages.  Simply not true and if Mainlymax wants to provide those personal messages to anyone by personal message he can.

GSD

We do NOT have access to members PMs, out or in!  The only PMs we have access to are the ones sent to us and the ones we send, the same as all other members.

German shepherd dog, zmoderator, thank you for allaying my concerns regarding PM access.   German shepherd dog, given this, however, can you not see that it is impossible for you to know for CERTAIN that Mainly Max did not receive ANY PMs that fit his description of them?  You know for sure that the ones sent by YOU were not in keeping with the characterization alleged by Max, but you cannot know what may have been conveyed by others...

That said, Max, it would seem that the ball is back to you on this particular point: if you are in receipt of PMs from one or more mods that contain the sentiments you describe, they should be copied and forwarded *privately* to the other mods, in your own defense.

Of course it is also possible that the sender's words weren't repeated verbatim by Max in his post, but rather were only his impression of the messages he'd received...

Oh, and I don't see the wolf avatar as something frightening or intimidating...direct and resolute, yes, but 'scary', no.

2 of the 3 other moderators have the messages and the 3rd will shortly.
