Without thinking too much into it, I would say that it is too time consuming for most individuals. You must have a lot of patience, and truly have love for dogs. A lot of people love dogs, but can't or choose not to spend the time it takes to train them to such a level.

Also, Schutzhund can get a little expensive. The dog, the "materials", and the training. If you train with someone privately it can get pretty steep. And since schutzhund training isn't on every corner, it takes a lot of time to drive to training (not to mention gas money).

That is what I gather

..........It is a struggle for me to find people my age who enjoy schutzhund as I do. If I even talk about it, people have no clue what I am talking about. (they nod their head, and say...oh, that's nice)

All good answers and reasons but not the one I had in mind.

It is a very specific niche and perhaps if your looking for people your own age it gets even more specific.

If you truly love it thats more important.

No, you are not correct. It is about what is RIGHT. Who cares about Molly except that what she is doing is NOT RIGHT. And that is why she is not a fit candidate for the BOI position, in my not countable opinion.

afwark  i hear you about being bashed about being young im younger then you but have put every last bit of effort into learning and working dogs and try and build my knowledge up but you will always get them arseholes who thick your to young blah blah ...lucky enough i have a freind on here who is GREAT  very wise and she knows ALOT about dogs  gentics etc
