I did and I want clarification.  I just sent him a PM -- hopefully, he will give his answer here on this Thread.

Prager, I think to true GS breeders what you wrote is true. But the stubbon ones want to focus on your second paragraph and then say the SL are being "bashed". But the important part of your posts is the first two sentences. Because people use those reasons to breed and attempt to justify the current showlines....because that is what they LIKE!!

" ...atavistic throwback and not a purposely bred quality."  Well, there is no where for a AM Showline to go then, Hans. You got to give them a little wiggle room!

And Maggs, look at the Post title for the showlines Hans is talking about. The German's invented the standards for GSD's, period. Whether they are called by subcategories we see today, it still doesn't seem to have been an intent. That's why this topic gets bashed around all the time.

No, Hans is talking about German show lines as well.

Well, I thought he gave them a little more credit, Oops, again!

Beetree, one correction, it wasn't THE Germans, it was A German.  Just because someone is German, doesn't necessarily mean they know better either.  It's like the Constitution, plainly written, but some like to twist it and argue that it's all a matter of interpretation.

Well said Prager, but you know I am trying.

I thought so too from his previous posts.
