Unfortunately, that's what they say every year.  But, you may be right, with a new DOJ - but we'll see.  I won't be holding my breath, but would be pleasantly surprised if something different happened with the protection judging.

Last year's "courage test" judging was embarrassing to me as a showline (and working line) owner.  There were a few solid dogs and some stand outs but I bet most people could have picked out which dogs those would be before the test even took place.

Wanna bet its the same as last year , maybe even less stringent. As for top trainers showing show dogs for other people its easy to figure out its for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$  Same here as in Germany, top trainer helps show dog to look half way decent in bitework even though the dog probably needed all their help to do it .....

Peter Engel did not break any rules with the DMC.  They opened up the stud book list this year.  I have attached the link.

Paul,

I know Airport and Alderauge is breeding to approved studs, I just had contact with
them. These are very good kennels, I would say they all are breeding to approved studs.
A couple of I am not familiar with but if they are members of the DMC, my bet is they
are breeding to approved studs on the list DMC list for studs. This is a big deal, Peter is
taking allot of heat for this.

Congratulation on Falco's IPO 3.   Falco has a very good Pedigree.
If you know Peter he never explains him self, but this time he did
because people wanted to know his reasoning behind it. Don't
get me wrong the DMC breeds to dogs outside of Germany,
but with club approval only. Unless there is a sudden change in
policy, which I don't think so. The thing to check, you may already
know this with Falco, is to check the up coming litter list that the
DMC puts out. If there is a litter with a stud that  has not been  approved
it will show.

Paul,
Vite, and Pedro have both been added to the list. I  am sorry
I stand corrected. But this is a new development. Very good because
I like Pedro to. A very good Dutch breeding. So Peter is not without
some power in this Club. For months it read not approved on his litter.
These are two very good breeding's Vite and Pedro. I see on their list
other very good dogs as well. But my point still stands I think because
Peter did convince the club to approve Vite.

I also saw that it did not show the stud on the DMC Breed list for the Lowenfels litter.  In May I  asked a Kormeister that was in the US why Vite was not listed because my understanding was that any dog that had the highest attainable title in his home country could be added to the stud dog list this year.  I was told this they had trouble getting his DNA to pass the test.

Sorry for any misunderstanding.  I only meant that you could breed to dogs outside the country that did not have the German Korung.  The link above is the list of the approved studs outside of Germany.

Keith:

A German Shepherd that can,t clear a 6 foot vertical wall, Can,t give a convincing grip,Can,t take real stick hits,Can,t take real helpers,Walks on it,s hocks,Big dumbded down expressions, No real aggresion, Can,t take real gun shots,Have to be coaxed to a sleeve Can,t work correctly off lead, Can,t be worked and titled at a normal working dog trial, Can,t take helpers like Lotus,Clark James (just to name a few) Should not be bred... But they sure are shoved in ouf faces by the Germans as Uber correct dogs to the standard...THATS a Joke and fits the description of most (possibly not all) Show dogs.

Paul,
Yes I am not surprised  they had trouble getting the DNA to pass,
Vite is a NVBK dog. But I am sure  some of those dogs in his pedigree
were related to him. LOL !

This is funny if you have ever tried to register a NVBK dog.
I saw Vites name in red letters so he must have just been added.
For the people who don't know Peter Engels, he is a very nice person
and has done more than anyone I know to promote the Malinois in
Germany and around the world. Lowenfels kennels. Also bred some
of the best Malinois in the world. I happen to have lowenfels in two of
my Females that are doing very well. Very fine quality dogs with phenomenal
skills and drives. If I do say so my self. Sorry to drift a bit off the thread but
much is at steak when a person brings his dog to a show or an event. He
saying this is my dog to the world. So the Judge damn sure better know what
he is doing, because it is not only important to the owner but for any one looking
at this breed. I bet I have read 3000 Ahnentafels, the Germans are very good
record keepers on their dogs. They give all test records and pedigree.
Also Paul has a Magic Cross on his Falco, very good breeding.
The Dutch and Belgium are adamant about the working traits in their dogs
and I always use there Bloodlines for that reason. French and German put in
very good protection traits, thats why I use their dogs.
