Pennies for Haiti, Billions for Israel, Egypt
Posted by Charles Cooper (CBS)
Rush Limbaugh is quite right to question why American taxpayers ought to be required to spend another red cent on Haiti. The problem is that El Rushbo -as well as his critics - are looking at the wrong data and so the debate has gone off in a fruitless direction.
In fiscal 2008, the government offered financial assistance to 154 nations.
But consider this: in fiscal 1998 Haiti received $106 million from the U.S, the No. 9 nation among foreign aid recipients.
Compare that to the more than $5 billion paid out to Israel and Egypt.
For much of the last 20-plus years, those two nations have ranked as the biggest recipients of our largesse.
$50 Million Per DAY for Israel and Egypt,
Israel is the Size of NJ and has a population of 7 milion people
Israel also leads the world in UN Violations, and runs an Apartheid policy with its Racial Laws.
2/3 of all Homeless are American Veterans but Israel stil gets their Cheddar from US Taxpayers..

humans are suffering, most are children, they don't care about the politics, they are injured, they are hungry and thirsty.
They are not asking for much.
I've given to the Red Cross because they are one of the few organizations I trust.
Lets just see to the injured and bury the dead, and then bitch about the politics.
Would we do less for humans than we would do for a dog?

But it goes back to 'Give a man a fish, teach a man to fish' and keep Globalists, Bankers, CIA and Political Thugs out of Haiti
Hodie..
I Thought of you.
New movie coming out made by an Israeli Jew.
'It explores and Ridicules the current notion of anti Semitism and the lobbies that are engaged in disseminating such a fear.'
Featuring the ADL’s Abe Foxman and Prof. Norman Finkelstein, Yoav Shamir’s film is an outstanding work on the real nature of ‘anti-Semitism’ called Defamation. Here is the trailer for it.

Jackie, yes, I read this morning that one person from a Co. Springs organization has been rescued and is now back in the US. At least one other person from the same organization is missing.
Here is a link to a nice working team, a lab who alerts to live scent.

I hope most people reading here, regardless of your political views, will simply ignore the baiting going on about politics, Israel and more of the usual rantings of several of the posters.

Try if you can to put yourself there, in another's shoes.
I forgot, they have no shoes.
Pretend your a child with no parents, your leg is broken, sticking through he skin, your in the street alone in a crowd.
You've not had any food or water now for a couple of days and your in the worst pain you've ever been in.
Infection is setting in and your getting weaker.
If you can't see the reality then your just not trying.
Just send some damned money to whoever you think will spend it wisely.
Fuck the politics.

Ive known people that had children offered to them in Haiti saying please take my child, long before this Quake.
You can feed them for a day, a week, or a month at best.
Then its back to the usual. Thats my point. Haiti is broken in every sense of the word.
Yes we need aid agencies, but there also needs to be Justice enancted globablly, interest Banned, CIA abolished, and an end to the corrupt jackboot Thug Government supported by larger governments, such as ours.
Haiti is a drug shipment point, and the small manufacturing base is exploited by Globalists.
Back to the point, why does Haita get millions, and Israel get Billions?
Their population is almost the same....

"By Saturday, American search teams had pulled out 22 [alive] people from collapsed buildings."
YAY!
"Nearly 30 international rescue teams continue to comb the disaster areas for more survivors. And a 2-month-old baby with broken ribs was pulled out and airlifted to Florida in critical condition."
And this:
"One man, said to be the head of the capital's tax office, was carried out alive on a stretcher amid wild cheers from residents."
Too funny. The tax man got cheered (LOL)!!! Bet that was a first for him, don't you think?

we KNOW there are going to be catastrophes.....every year. tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, fires, hurricanes etc. it happens every year - all over the world. we KNOW these things will happen. hodie listed 23 international organizations above and i know there are many many more. why is it that these organizations are never never prepared ahead of time?!?! when we KNOW, why aren't we prepared? why does it take 4 to 5 days before the relief starts pouring in? i've been watching the news also and it seems incredible to me that even by day 4 the reporters are saying that they have yet to see medicines, doctors, even law enforcement. no food, no water. incredible! if these organizations are going to be of any use at all, it seems to me that they need to be prepared ahead of time and able to dispatch at a moment's notice. being buried under concrete rubble for days or a week, especially with serious injuries, is going to lessen the chances for many victims. many who might have been saved, will die because it took 4-5 days for help to even arrive let alone how many days to locate victims. this is what i don't understand. like i said, if we KNOW these things will happen, why not prepare ahead of time? the aid would be so much more effective. i am just frustrated, i guess. hearing on one hand that all this money and aid is being designated, yet on the other hand hearing from reporters that they have essentially no government, no law enforcement, aid and workers had not yet arrived, the desperate need for medical suppllies, reports of dead bodies everywhere and pleading for body bags. i get so frustrated with this that i end up turning off the t.v. because i am shouting at it. when will we ever learn? its not IF but WHEN and we KNOW it.

Remember that the airport was UNUSABLE because of damage and no organization for such a huge increase in traffic. Machines needed to unload the arriving help were damaged and unusable. The roads from the airport are unusable. All of these things needed to be fixed in order for the aid to arrive. So planes had to wait. Plus it takes many days for ships to simply sail there. These things have nothing to do with how well prepared the rescuers were. And they WERE.

The airport is severely damaged, the control tower is gone. It is running short of fuel, so planes that land can't take off immediately, and are causing a huge problem by taking up space needed so new flights can come in.
The U.S. navy now has an aircraft carrier there, which will greatly speed things up, as helicopters can be used to move goods. I believe the carrier would also carry fuel?
From the very start, the news media was saying getting aid to the people was going to be a 'logistical nightmare', and this has proven to be true.
