Here are two pics of me...One with makeup and hair done, which is how I try to look for holidays, legal meetings and funerals, and one without, which is how I look just about all the time:-)  Since I'm the one behind the camera all the time, there are none that are good of me with Oakley, though there have been some awesome moments that I wish I'd been able to get on the camera...Just the two of us...

Anyway, here goes.

I found this going though my "Oakley folder", so I do have one with her...But that was about a month after she came to live with me.  So here I am...Crooked teeth, acne, and all!

And I must say, it's wonderful to have faces to put with names so we can get to know each other a little better, even if we never get a change to meet in person.  Although I would absolutely love to plan a trip to Europe, to travel through Germany, Belgium, and a number of other countries there, I do not know when or even if that will ever be possible.

Steve, I had gotten a mental picture of what you might look like from your posts, and I was not disappointed.  You look exactly like I thought you would.  You are a very nice looking man, and a kind hearted one, too.  Ready to stand for what you believe and not back down, but that doesn't make you anything other than a real man who backs what he says.  It's nice to have men like you involved in our breed.

We have some wide ranges of ages involved in our breed, which is a good thing that ensures the future of our breed.  We also have some very nice looking folks here, too, besides Steve!

To all of the members here who are in the Midwest of the USA, and are dealing with the major nasty cold and snowfront that's moving through...That's rather what it was like up here a few weeks ago, so just try and stay warm.  It's unbearable to get out and try to walk and train in those temps.

As far as the age comments, it's true that the internet has revolutionized our ability to access information that normally would take years and years to acquire. However, there is no substitute for firsthand experience, and I'm afraid that we will lose that when the older generation who actually knew many of these dogs we research is gone.

Also, apparently, some of us are not as young as we look. I had a guy come to meet a dog yesterday and he told me later he almost asked me if my mom was home! LMAO! He said he'd pictured a "crazy dog lady in her mid 50's". LOL.

This is a nice thread. Helps you remember you're dealing with real people...maybe some of the nasties on here will think about that fact, too.

BTW, in my pic, it's Simon, me, and Caleb when Simon was a puppy.
