Escobar the dogs you have put together are ugly! OMG is that what the showline has become?!? Thanks for opening my eyes escobar! Sunsilver its just sad what so called 'proper german' breeders are producing! Its just sickening! Dont these deformed/abnormal dogs feel uncomfortable!

SC Pride, you can resize that picture by going into the editing screen (owner edit, below your sig pic, right clicking on the image then selecting "Image Properties" When the properties screen appears, select a number around 450 for image width.

The picture is stretching the page so much, I can't really get an accurate idea of your dog's conformation.

How does such an extremely roached dog move? Here's some examples:

Although the dog is reaching out nicely here, you can see his entire hock is going to hit the ground, just like with the American shepherds. Also, he is pulling aginst the tight leash, and his front foot is way, way too high off the ground:

This second example is the picture from this year's Sieger show front page. I believe the standard calls for a LEVEL back? I've seen this sort of roached back in motion, and it looks really odd.

Okay, I'll have to try back later. The uploader for photos just isn't working right now!

No offence, but the standard, printed on this web site, calls for a STRAIGHT back, not a LEVEL back. In my book both can mean entirely different things. liz

I have to say I like some slope in my dogs :) I think actually that this is something that some worklines lack :) (at least so far I have not been able to get my hands on a workline with nice sloping back, even though my little one looks like she will have it but I wouldn't mind little bit more). Is when it is excessive I have to turn away. It is very hard to find a dog that makes everyone happy :) I saw on 2008 Nass SG1 I forgot what was the name of the dog but i though it was a good looking dog that move quite nicely, and he look like he had some fight in him, I was quite surprise and I did enjoy watching him quite a bit :).

And Liz, I stand corrected: a STRAIGHT back is what the standard calls for. As you can see, this back is neither STRAIGHT nor LEVEL!

Here is a link to the 2007 Seigerin's bitework video. If it won't take you there directly, click on Gina von Aquamarin, and watch how strangely she moves when trotting at the start of the video!

Sunsilver, I'm going to bed now... I know it's early but I'm tired.

I'm going to make this as simple as possible.  His entire hock is not going to hit the ground... this is twaddle, if his entire hock were to hit the ground... would he have any fur on his hock?  No... simple.  I'm not even going to try to explain the Shepherds back to you because I don't know how to simplify it.

Night night.
