I think the breeders practice is appaling but I would not get too crazy about long term effects.

Ok, this is Phosphoric acid, in the bottle of soda you might drink with dinner tonight. -- not really the best stuff for you but I don't think a bottle of coke ever killed anyone (long-term chronic use of sodas, not so good for your bone metabolism but.....)
We are surrounded by chemicals; I imagine she used a dilure solution - still - her ethics are apalling no argument there- but it is a common chemical used in even high school chemistry classes - and I have seen (I have a graduate degree in Chemistry, BTW) and Potassium Permanganate has bee n around for a long time used topically in humans to treat fungal and bacterial infections of the skin ....

Only just 4 years old. Here's your opprotunity to produce your very own "Socks!" http://www.kennelgold-berg.com/german_shepherd_females.html
Anybody out there want to give an 8 yr. old female the loving "forever home" she deserves for $5500. + shipping? Here's your chance! OR How about a 7+ yr. old VA bitch? Both ladies have produced admirably for their owner(s). Now available, priced "reasonably..." (?) as they face their "golden years". http://www.kennelgold-berg.com/german_shepherd_imports.html
Out with the old, in with the new. I wish my 12 yr. old Conni could read. Maybe she'd stop lifting her leg on my flowers.

Speaknow, lets not forget water..........I used to do high purity water system qualification and 18 megohm type I water is very corrosive - all joints in stainless steel have to be passivated with an oxidation film so the water won't corrode the stainless (which is 314L stainless)
You drink that stuff and you are in some serious trouble....................
Shelly, absolutely amazing.........but I think it is not uncommon .......... I can see finding a home for a retired breeder (I guess) but I think I would consider that taking on an old dog and the ensuing medical expenses is more than enough........................
