I'm angry also - we just appear not to know who to be angry at.

BP has over 25000 workers in the Gulf, NOAA was supposed to already have a joint solution with with various wildlife agencies, etc., etc, etc.

Heck I'm sick of arguing about it.

Spent extra time with the dogs and reworking obstacle course.

Good Luck with you Dogs I'm through with this issue.
See you on another thread,

They are trying to plug the well with drilling mud, rocks and concrete. Maybe we could all say a little prayer and hope it works........

... "And BP Chief Executive Officer Tony Hayward has given the "top kill" maneuver a 60 percent to 70 percent chance of success."...

..."At a fundraiser Tuesday in San Francisco, California, Obama said he initiated a review into 'how it is that oil companies can say they know how to handle these problems and it turns out actually that they don't.'

But he blamed more than BP. He also blamed the failure of the country to transition away from fossil fuels toward green technologies.

'We've been putting it off for decade after decade after decade, and it is about time that we said to ourselves that we're ready to make a change on behalf of the future of our children and our grandchildren," Obama said.'"...

WE NEED A MIRACLE. I ALSO FEEL ANGER AND DISGUST AT ALL THESE DAMN KNOW IT ALLS AND OUR COLLECTIVE ARROGANCE AND GREED THAT KNOWS NO BOUNDS...

Did anyone notice there's a difference in live leak footage compared to previous week of live footage ? Before it was a pipe.
Just saying.

Anyhows, I have this live feed on my Desktop all day yesterday in the barn and there's more leaks than what the Media is reporting. They said 3 leaks and one is already caped. Well, there's more than 3 now. This is very tragic.

If market action in BP stock is any indication, it would suggest that the top hat fix is working. BP is up over 5% in Europe.

People in the know appear to be buying the stock.

Ktf, what they are doing now is top kill not top hat. Top hat was the 4 story outhouse looking structure. BP now is blowing drilling mud into the blow out preventer. If this works they will put cement into the well to seal it. This can also cause more leaks and allot more oil to escape. That is what happened off Mexico back in 1979.

Trace, you are right, of course - and thanks for clarifying it.  I used the wrong terminology.

I have been following the story closely and had read that the top-kill approach had the downside that if it did not work, it could make things worse.

I have my fingers crossed this works but bp won't know for 3 or 4 days. Most of my family work in the oil business and they think it's pure luck if it does. They seem to think Top Hat and Top kill are more PR to look like BP is doing something until the two relief wells are completed. It took the Mexican rig back in 1979 nine months to stop the leak with the completion of the relief wells. They tried both Top Hat and Top Kill but back then it was called Sombrero both failed in 200 feet of water.
