I sure hope they make it.

Give them meat on the bone.  Are their tummies a little upset from the milk products?

I am sure the zoo people will know.

They looked stressed.  They should have a blanket over the crate to create a den like atmosphere.  That would help lessen the stress.  Keep us posted and as always, thanks for sharing.  Very interesting.

Of course they are stressed they don't have their momma.I would be giving them blended meat. They look old enough for it and probably need a bit more nutrients to get healthy. Hope the last two survive.Would love to be there to help take care of them.

tarek, the zoo guys took a look and they said it is hard to tell for certain from the video, but could they be jackal pups? They seemed skeptical because they believe the Egyptian wolf to be so extremely endangered. (They were not impressed with the goats milk formula yet neglected to offer a substitute and they seemed to think without expert care it will be unlikely for them to survive.) So I hope you received more encouraging information from your email expert helper. I wish they had been more helpful. They did appreciate the concern shown for these pups.

Beetree- After lengthy discussions between myself & the rancher & as per the recommendations of everybody I managed yesterday to convince the rancher that a  private Zoo owner who has mainly African lions, hyenas, ostriches, wolves etc... to adopt the remaining 2 wolves. If everything goes as planned, this will take place tomorrow.

Lets all wish them good luck.

Regards

Tarek,

That news is actually a relief, assuming this person is qualified. I hope you will be given updates on the pups, that I can pass on to my zoo friends. We are all hoping they now have the best chance to survive and thrive.
