The aid is a knee jerk reaction to the suffering, from many well intentioned folks.
It wont change a DAMN thing.

The USA has placed the very Thugs that run and Loot Haiti, we The USA,  have overthrow everyone Democratic Government in Haita, from as far back as 1915,  and our CIA has a strong presence in Haiti for just that reason.

We took over Haitis debt and hence, their future with the debt, as every debtor is a slave to his creditor.

Haiti is a beautiful island with many resources, but its utterly hopeless due to corruption, Usury and CIA involvement.

"The aid...wont change a DAMN thing."

I think a lot of people won't dispute that, but what it will do is alleviate a lot of death, disease, pain, and suffering now, after this earthquake.  And that is why people donate.  The horror is NOW.  You can't look at those images of such suffering and not want to help lessen such suffering.  The alternative is to turn your back and say, oh, well, too bad for you.  Be crushed and starved and thirsty and watch your children die...I'm glad the world is full of compassionate people who say I will help you because you are hurting.

This is terrible. I do know that in a situation like that, people and lives depend on the bravest, strongest looters. It's true. How are the infant and old, broken and bruised gonna survive in a situation like that with nothing ? And then shoot the looters ?
I just hope our Military remembers what happened in Katrina. We did do a good job waking them up as to who the real "looters" are. Obviously. Hope they listen.

7.0 ? Where did one of those come from ? Looks like they played one up on Jesse. Bastards.

I'm sorry, but that Earthquake was not an act by God. That's all I'll say about that.

Hodie- did you ever hear anything about your friend, who was with Doctors Without Borders? 20/20 just broadcast a gentleman's rescue from the Montana Hotel who was from Colorado Springs, he's OK & coming home...I think the name was something like Richard Wooley, but I could be mistaken. This is the first chance I've had to really watch some of the reports....it's hard to stomache...all those children....people being rescued & dying for lack of care......awful... jackie harris

....and just how did Obama get control of the airspace again ?

* "There are no "first responders" as there is in our country." *

-- You don't think the people there didn't respond to people who needed help around them ? I think they did. To say there are no first responders is very selfish I think. I'm sure everyone there at the time was a "first responder". Credit where credit is due, K ?

"....and just how did Obama get control of the airspace again ?"

a) The Trilateral Commission gave him the thumbs-up;
b) He's an IslamoFascistCommunoSocialist from Kenya with superpowers;
c) The little black helicopters did it for him, after carpet-bombing the populace with tinfoil hats; or
d) Who cares, this is an idiotic question that has no place in a thread like this.

Haitians Refuse Food
Here is pathetic video of a UN Food Truck in Haiti trying to distribute high energy biscuits to hungry people in Port-Au-Prince today.
At first the Haitians push and shove to get to the food, and then some begin telling the people to not accept the biscuits because the "food is no good."
They were mistaking the packaging date of 2008 with the expiration date of 2010. The crowd became angry and the food truck drove away with some of the people still trying to get the food.
This shows how difficult it is going to be to help people in this desperate situation.
