Report has been released by HarrisCounty Precint 4 Police.

All 4 suspects are in custody and have been charged with 3rd degree felony. K9 officer Blek has been transported to Texas A&M University in College Station for an autopsy.

To the poster MVF -your observations have some valid points, yes, I agree.

But, in this specific case, not int he rhwtorical, statistical, theoretical, scientific etc... stuff and statistic that you are talking here.

These 4 broke a window with a brick! So they can enter and burglarize a home (that is not theirs),so they can steal a plasma screen TV (that is not theirs) and other valuables (that is not theirs) from a home that, again - is not theirs.

911 was called, police officers arrived at the scene and K9 officer was released. He caught up and engaged the suspects and was strangled in a fight, 2 in a getaway car were apprehended with stolen valuables recovered and 2 that fled on foot were also apprehended and it was determined they killed the dog by strangulation.

That seems pretty clear cut to me, nothypothetical or rhetorical. I am  not arguing or debating your data or research, but this story is pretty cut and dry.

I have two concerns with MVF's posts -- he typically uses Race to make excuses, and he typically bashes the U.S.   I am sure that many posters on this Forum -- of all Races -- have come from poor backgrounds / disadvantaged education opportunities / broken homes / dysfunctional families (alcoholism; domestic violence, etc.).    Those disadvantages in life do not justify inflicting harm on others, including animals.  

Back to the real subject,  My heartfelt Condolences to Blek's Partner and his family..

MVF most definitely used example and thus comparison of these thugs to people in Ghetto and to South African apartheid. Maybe you should read first  what you comment on.
  Also let me say that  my Grandfather died in concentration camp Mauthausen where he was put by Nazis for fighting them . ( Yes not just Jews- God bless them- died in concentration camps.)
And I take it as an personal insult to use, even remotely, such example where criminal thugs who are committing a crime are compared with heroic people who lived, fought and died in Polish Ghetto or elsewhere where they fought against injustice and for freedom. There still may be some injustice done to blacks by prejudice in this country, but I assure you that if you compare that to Apartheid of South Africa and Ghetto of Poland you are cheapening  the fate and lives of those people and I dare to say that you are not doing your cause any justice and just perpetuate the problem because people like me are totally offended by such ridiculous, wrong and demeaning comparisons.

Maggs you are once again allowing your dislike of someone to misrepresent and twist what someone has said, which is patently unfair.  Nowhere in this thread or any other thread I am aware of,  has  MVF  EVER used someone's race to excuse their actions and nowhere has  MVF  EVER bashed the United States. 

No Prager, he did not anywhere imply or say this  specific example is the same as the South Africa or The Holocaust examples.  He was speaking of how people  want to apply a sentence for maiming or killing a police K9 equally accross the board, when in fact, there can be mitigating  circumstances, which can and should impact sentencing.  He was also trying to point out that people are innocent until proven guilty (in this country).   

I do agree the loss of this fine police K9 is horrible, and the punishment needs to fit the crime, but that punishment needs to  be determined in the guilt phase of the trial, and it's not "one size (or punishment)  fits all".

I'm lazy now?  How typical of you and your ilk, to add personal insults.  You just ended any possibility of this discussion remaining civil, congratulations.   Appears to me you only want to believe what you want to believe, forget about the truth, if you don't like it, you and your buddy maggs  just change it to fit your narrow belief system anyway.

NOWHERE DID MVF SAY THE SITUATIONS WERE THE SAME.  HE USED THE EXAMPLES TO SHOW  CIRCUMSTANCES COLOR JUDGEMENT, THAT'S ALL.

You guys are really playing a dirty game, twisting what people say.  How dare you suggest MVF has no respect for or would minimize the plight of South Africans or Holocaust victims.  You are clueless and dumb as posts if you believe that.

I can't see how standing up for a person's Constitutional rights is bashing the US. What happened to all you fife-playing flag-waving right-wingers? YES, I know, the dog's and the officer's rights were severely violated, but LE is supposed to be better than the thugs, so LE has more responsibility  to the perp's rights. You don't have to like it or them, but those trashy kids haven't been proven guilty yet...although I have no doubt that they were. Nevertheless, the US Constitution says they have to be PROVEN guilty before you CALL them guilty. 

I actually HAVE done some studying of the black-on-black, black-on-white, etc statistics. Black people who transgress against black people get smaller sentences than black people who transgress against white people. That's scary to me.

That said, I hope the thugs rot in prison forever IF THEY ARE CONVICTED.

No suenic I agree with you he did not say that they are the same he just compared them as similar. My statement above stays. And I apologize that I said that you are lazy to read.   Obviously you are not since you have  read it but ignored the obvious comparison.
