To Liztom,
I'm so sorry about Nitro. Now, are more dogs dying? Did the Humane Society put the dog to sleep on the website? Were there any others? I want to adopt one, but they won't release them.

Thank you for your wishes. I dont know if more dogs are dying they would not let me see them. The dog on the website was put to sleep because he was "too aggressive" - but he wasnt, he was doing what he was trained to do.
They only started scanning the dogs yesterday and contacting owners. They are a very small place but they are doing the best they can.
The DA dropped the charges against Nitro because there was no warrant, we now cannot even testify against him in criminal court.
This was our interview with the local newspaper - read the comment, not comforting.
"The city officials of Youngstown are a complete joke!! Still Macejko is saying that he could of had a search warrant within an hour....this is a complete bunch of crap!!"

Here is the local TV news
Also if you go on Video on demand, there are 2 live news stories about this.

I forgot that my dog was over 100 pounds when we dropped him off, he was 50 pounds when we saw him and they even thought he was a doberman.

Liz and Tom,
Please contact me privately. Steve Croley is NOT currently a USA member so those who clamor for USA to "do something" about him are barking up the wrong tree.
However, I am collecting documentation on this nefarious individual to build a case that he should not be allowed to join USA again. Please help me stop this guy from promoting himself through dog sport, and thus tarnishing the image of the organization while trolling for future victims. I am also a member of WDA and DVG and I'll take my case to those organizations as well.

Yvette,
The "clamor" for USA and other organizations to "do something" is just as you described and has been suggested by me, among others, not only in this case, but, if you were paying attention, in another case involving a dead dog, a "lost" dog, and two dogs returned in not much different shape than the ones seen at this kennel in question.
If he is not a current member, then USA should and MUST step up to the plate once he is convicted and make a statement to the effect that he will never be welcome in the organization. This should be done by the officers, without ANYONE having to do anything else except bring it to their attention. I do not understand how the organization can remain silent on such issues and/or make excuses that a MEMBER MUST do something about it first in order for anyone with balls to take measures to state and make certain this person and others like him will never be associated again with USA.

Those are some shocking photos and this person needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. How in the world can anyone leave dogs that are dead laying there in the conditions under which these are? NOW I have seen it all!
