It seem that you are doing your due diligence of finding out the real pedigree on your dog. But I think you have a few things wrong and some missing pieces. For instance, I’m sure if you look back you will find your dog is also linebred on Sirol. And Deux Pottois and Boscaille often dipped into the NVBK gene pool. So they are pretty much the same as NVBK stuff. Please don’t think I’m belittling your efforts. I don’t think that anyone really knows the full truth about any malinois pedigree.

But the fact that the pedigrees are fake is one of the reasons the dogs are so strong. Serious breeders know that they can’t trust the papers so they are forced to actually breed the dog in front of them. I think many of the GSD breeders breed papers more than they breed dogs. Like the guy that I talked about above that can look at a proposed GSD breeding and wax on and on about how these puppies will be a certain way based on some dog that died in 1911. And the sad thing is people listen to that bullshit. If a man had the ability to quantify that type of data and make an accurate projection, he would be the richest man on Wall St. not holding court on Yahoo Groups.

Your bitch look really nice. What are your plans with her?

Well thank you folks...

No she does not calm down in the house. There is no "calm" in this dog.

I believe you are correct about the Sirol Chris, but that is so far back I don't pay attention. Yeah Deux Pottios and Du Boscaille used NVBK dogs but the point I was trying to make is the NVBK blood is much more diverse. I think I have the important parts figured out, but I don't know anyone who knows the Kukay's and PDT stuff. Who knows I may never figure it out. She has the duBoscaille blood and that is what I was looking for.

My plans are anything and everything. I would like to get a FR 1 MR 1 and go into PSA. I can get her a PSD certificate (which I plan to do) then I can compete in police dog trials. Unfortunately my my department is anti K-9. I might be able to work her in as an explosive detection dog if I am lucky.

But it is not all Roses. I am pretty concerned about her left rear leg. Something doesn't look right to me. I am more worried about an injury than genetic HD. She was obviously crated and kenneled quite a bit. I have a feeling they just played alot of ball withg her from an early age in an attemot to burn off energy and make her somewhat livable. She is a pain in the ass even when she is worked.

When she goes at the ball it is so hard she runs head on into the fence. She plants and cuts so hard, I thin she may have been injured somewhere along the way. X-rays are coming soon. Even if she is Dysplastic, this dog ain't going nowhere. I will take a working fool with HD over an OFA excellent POS any day.

We shall see in a few weeks.

Update,

I took her in for x-rays today. OFA view of hips, knee, hock, and side view of the back. The only thing that came up was a bone spur on her lower leg. Vet says this was caused by an injury. It was caused by the muscle being pulled to an extreme that it actually tore a small piece of bone which appears as a bone chip.

She said it is nothing and happened awhile ago. I asked if the strange movement I am seeing could be psycological from the injury. She said it is possible. Her orthopedic surgeon was there palpated her back, hips, knee, etc and said he felt nothing wrong. No ACL tear or rupture, nothing.

I was not really happy with the positioning on the x-ray, but I am no expert. I have worked 16 days in a row and was up 21 hrs the night before so wasn't really in the mood to complain. My vet has been very good to me.

What bothered me is it appeared as though the head of the femur was rotated outward. The ball is good, it's position in the socket looks good, but it seems as though it is rotated out on the x-ray. Which kind of seems consistant with what I am seeing in the leg. Her leg kinda bowes to the outside. I don't know how to explain it other than if you have seen a game bred pit bull, her legs kind of look like that.

Is it possible for a hip to appear to fit into the socket but is rotated outward? Could this be caused by the postioning?

Soemthing just doesn't seen right.
